This was a well equipped B&B with a large room. This is an old school converted and they did an excellent job in the conversion. The host makes sure you are comfortable and cooks a mean breakfast. You wont be dissapointed.

I was just there to sleep and I slept really well. Beautiful property an old schoolhouse turned into a cool boutique hotel. Wish I had more time to really look deeper. A lot of really nice one of a kind Inuit carvings on display. The owner Dan is a great host. His son checked me in, also cool. Both spoke great English. My room was clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was included and was excellent. I would stay there again for sure.

I love this hotel. The owner/host was so helpful and interesting to talk to. The rooms are gorgeous. A renovated school house this establishment is full of history. Fantastic breakfast was a great finishing touch to our stay.

The owner is so friendly and welcoming, he has a lot of stories to share with you. The dining room setup is something else. The view of the lake also great. Quiet place to relax and rest. Great breakfast.A bit dark room and unstable WiFi but for the purposes of the stay was all good.

Only stayed one night, but it was an absolute pleasure.Don't be fooled - the building from the front may look like an office or old public building, and that's because it is. Dan, the owner, took a school, and turned it into one of the most charming hotels this side of Canada.Every piece of art and furniture has a story behind it, and if you're lucky you can learn a bit of it. Fabulously furnished rooms, amazing lake views, just beautiful all around.Not to mention the affordability!Dan was incredibly warm, and an absolute pleasure. Will recommend Manoir Des Lacs to everyone.

Beautiful building but certainly lacking in the service department.We ran out of toilet paper, needed extra towels, and couldn’t find anyone that could help. Thankfully the lovely Vietnamese ladies that live there tried to help by finding us some proper towel to use as toilet paper, and one person in our group brought their own towel.Terrible parking lot area - we had to park on the road overnight as the parking lot wasn’t plowed and it was filled with 10-20cm of snow. We are thankful we weren’t towed or hit overnight.I knocked on the door of the caretaker 3 times, and my wife too and didn’t get any answer.

I loved this place. It is an old school house, with rooms only on the top floor. We stayed in the honeymoon suite, which was perfect. We wished we had more time there. Bed sooo comfortable; king size; jacuzzi tub in the room. The owner was away, another story altogether. His sister and a friends welcomed us and treated us like royalty. So many stories, we stayed a couple hours longer than planned. Please go there if you get the chance.

We found this place by fluke, but man is it amazing. Dan the owner is like family the minute you meet him. So friendly and accommodating to a fault! The room was spectacular, the lake and tranquility was superb. Dan made breakfast for us in the morning, and when we left we knew we will be back for another stay.Thank you Dan, you have achieved wonderful results with all of your hard work. We have raved about your place to everybody we speak to. Enjoy your winter and we will see you again.
