Dr.E. Jan Chithalen Dentistry

I never write reviews as each experience is personal, and individual perspectives are just that ... individual. I do so now because after reading some of the other reviews, I felt it important to add my own.It had been years since I would even venture into a dental office and the thought of doing so was terrifying and yes ... humiliating. But from the moment I met Dr. Chithalen and his staff, I was treated with respect and compassion. After some (what I consider to be major extractions) Dr. Chithalen took the time to call me at home that evening to see how I was doing. Since that time, any issues that have come up are addressed immediately. Not only was my anxiety dealt with, but for the first time in years I am so proud of my smile . . .Thank you to Dr. Chithalen and your wonderful staff.

Just came back from a cleaning and Dr. Jan had to step in prior to, to administer some freezing to a very sensitive area (that'll learn me to keep up with the flossing)..Did not feel a thing. Nothing.More than a couple pokes with the needle.. no problem.And that is how, if needed.. your appointment starts.. with 'you' and your comfort at the forefront.I found Dr. Chithalen just by passing by his office with the great big tooth sculpture out on the front lawn.. and I needed a dentist, placed the call and been very happy with my experiences since.Staff is great.. friendly and professional.Would recommend.. heartily.

The best dentist experience I have ever had.. My teeth needed some major work. Not only did they fix them perfectly and swiftly, but without any pain. Dr. Jan is a true professional, and so friendly throughout the process. His staff is always smiling and willing to help out. Plus, you get to watch some great TV during your treatments. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Dr. Chitalen has a penchant for watching TV while he works.Aside from that the place is ok if they don't cancel an appointment without telling you, send you on a goose chase to a previous dentist for an issue that was NOT an issue and have you wait weeks and weeks for appointments to do minor work that ends up being major work.

The best dentist in the GTHA. I can't imagine going anywhere else. All the staff here are professional, courteous, and friendly. Dr. Chithalen is fantastic and his skill and knowledge are unsurpassed. No pain, great communication, and impeccable hygiene measures. Can't recommend highly enough.

I've never been to a dental office where I've felt so respected as I do with Dr. Chithalen. The staff is all very friendly, Dr. Chithalen informs me on everything I need to know, he is very considerate (especially with those who don't have insurance), and he is very thorough.I don't feel, for once, like the dentist is trying to gauge me. I really trust EJC Dentistry, and I even like being there.

I phoned into the office today to look for a new dentist and Bel answered the phone. She was so kind and considerate when speaking with me. She was very friendly and promised me excellent service if I came to their office for a cleaning. I will make an appointment with this team and I look forward to meeting Dr. Jan!

I had my first visit with Dr. Chithalen and staff a few weeks ago. I was recommended by a work colleague who understood that I had serious issues going on with my mouth/smile. Not only am I embarrassed and ashamed of my smile, I am simply tired of all the work getting done and never feeling like any progress has happened. After my first visit, I felt like Dr. Chithalen listened to me, understood my concerns and gave me the best possible outcome" for my soon to be new smile. He didn't pressure me into doing things that are costly

When I came to get my teeth examined after years of no dental cleaning, Dr. Chithalen was very professional examining and providing with solutions by priority. I felt I was in good hands. And I definitely was. My hygienist, Gillian, was fantastic. She was kind, informative and went above and beyond to accommodate my cleaning needs as well as my schedule and budget. I have had two appointments with her so far, and each time felt like I visiting a friend. I was very nervous prior to my first cleaning appointment and she made me so comfortable that I was excited for my next appointment to come. After so many years, I've become insecure of the way I looked smiling because of my teeth. Gillian changed that for me and I couldn't be happier with the results. The best dental care I've ever experienced and I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you to Dr. Chithalen, his staff, and most importantly, Gillian, for everything you do!
