I've been here a couple times and everything we tried both times tasted amazing. Huge patio and nice atmosphere inside. Can't wait to come back and try the pizza!

Awesome Italian restaurant. Great food, great service, and a great selection of wines. Live music was performed by a jazz duo while we were there. Prices very reasonable. They take reservations and stay open late. Lots of parking and in a great section of Ancaster.

Highly recommend! Ancaster, ON, Cavallo Nero, place is beautiful, staff is exceptional and food is impeccable!! Cannot say enough about one staff in particular, Olivia, who you see in the photo, the Manager, who makes everyone who walks through these doors feel like they’re her only guest!

Pasta was good, the source was just about right and not as greasy as other places. Kids pasta was at big portion! Our kid likes the gelato the best. ;) very good dinning environment and good service overall.

Our party of six ordered a variety of dishes and everyone agreed that it was a 1 star experience. Food was unappetizing and soggy. Wait staff is unfriendly and seems rather annoyed to have to serve anyone. We were in around 4 pm for an early dinner and it was not busy but we waited around an hour for our food. We won't be back as there are much better options in Ancaster.

My wife and I enjoyed our delicious meal and exceptional service provided by Hilary and Holly. We ordered a lasagna, salad and bruschetta that we wished to share between us. They thoughtfully split the portions for us. Recommend.

Came here with family for a little meet up and everything was delicious.We sat outside on a gorgeous day and their patio was beautiful. Our sever was super sweet and very understanding and efficient in dealing with the chaos of larger parties who are a little all over the place.I got the featured pasta and it was delicious. The red pepper & tomato soup, as well as the calamari were super yummy (would’ve been nice if the calamari was crispier, but still good).Their salads are huge and so yummy, same with their fish and chips.All around a very good experience, will definitely keep on the list to return.

Had a great first experience here! Food was delicious, wine was great. We will definitely be back! We had the lamb, a special ravioli, seafood linguine and spaghetti and meatballs.The only little glitch was that the arancini was a bit underdone in the centre.

Service and atmosphere was excellent. Food quality was great but a little overpriced in my opinion. I would probably pay a few dollars less for the seafood linguine as the pasta tasted plain and I expected it to have more flavour. It’s the only reason I take off one star. The seafood itself like shrimp, mussels and scallops was full of flavour though.

This restaurant is a hidden gem in that area. We went there unexpectedly. We were impressed by the ambience, delicious food, proper portion size and amazing hospitality.
