Westland Insurance

Since being taken over by Westland I have not had the phone answered by a person once. I have to leave a message and they will return my call typically in 24 hours. Not like before when you could call and talk to a real person right away. Very sad the erosion in service.

went in to renew my drivers license and had a ticket that needed to be proven paid before renewing. I have never had to do this before and the younger lady that worked there told me that I needed to send an email of the ticket to them, so I did. She then asked me if it was a screenshot to which I replied yes, and very rudely with attitude said to me “they’re not gonna take that”. How am I to know that? so I then asked what to do. She told me to forward the email I received to them and when I wasn’t sure how to do so she treated me as if I was stupid. Finally got the email sent to them and because their printer wasn’t working she would not renew my license and told me I was on my own and said “go to staples”. very unprofessional and extremely bossy and rude! the other lady however was very nice and I thank her for trying to help.

I’ve called this branch many times. No one has ever picked up the phone. In order to use them, I usually have to go down in person. That’s not the service I’m looking for.I tried one last time this week. Left an urgent message that I needed to pay an overdue account that day. They didn’t even call me back same day.The staff aren’t very friendly in person or over the phone and I get the feeling they don’t really enjoy what they do or care to help the customer in any meaningful way.So I called HUB insurance. They picked up on the first ring and took my payment and emailed me a receipt. Job done and they thanked me for my business. In the future I’ll take all my insurance business elsewhere. This isn’t a business I’ll continue to support and my referrals will always go to HUB.

I am a former client of another company (that was unresponsive until they were notified that I was leaving) and switched over to Westland. Carly helped me the entire time. She was fantastic - helpful, professional and responsive.Carly deserves five stars all the way - I have already been recommending Westland/her to my friends and family.

It was a pleasure discussing my mother's policy with Vinni as she was knowledgeable, courteous and efficient. I was impressed by the excellent customer service.

Nov 2020: I took 2 stars off because this morning I was being treated rudely by the lady (wish I knew her name) over the phone. She told me to STOP while I was still telling her my issue. I hope she learns how to do her job in a professional manner. Except this lady, other staff in the office are nice and helpful.July 2021 Update: originally I gave 3 stars, but because the owner had responded my concern, I'd give one star more. Will update Depends on my future visit. If the customer service is good then I'll give 5 stars.

I purchased a home with a close possession date so needed property insurance sooner rather than later. I contacted 9 insurance brokers in the city and Charlene at Westland was by far the fastest, most responsive, and provided me with the best quote. She went above and beyond and was so nice to work with! I can't recommend her enough :)

I have used Westland insurance for a number of years. I went in to see them regarding an issue with my account and within 15 minutes it was resolved. The manager Bethany was excellent and the service was exceptional. I highly recommend Westland insurance for your insurance needs.
