I have been coming here for 2 years to have my jewellery repaired or maintained by David. He is the only person I trust to handle my precious heirlooms. Cynthia and Mogie are amazing to deal with as well, they always help me find the perfect matching pieces to compliment the ones I already have!

The attitude from the jewellery store is just absolutely horrible. Although i loved the diamond. So i'll buy it again in future from Carate Jewellers, just because the beauriful diamond otherwise i won't be there. Oh Make sure you get the most tighest diamond that will fit your finger properly because nobody will resize for you, and because is such a pain in the neck to resizeing the ring . And trust me if you never own one before it unbelieveble how much the ring size can change on there own during morning and the middle of the day. And neverthen less nobody understand how exactly diamond ring should fit. So i would say whatever size that will fit your finger in the morning that will be your correct size; don't let the cold weather fool you especially with1 carate diamond when is feels really tight in the morning is really uncomfortable at first but once the finger used to the weight then everything will be fine.

David and their staff are wonderful people. Awesome customer service, they do also fix watch and battery replacements as well.

I had an amazing experience here today . I took in my mom's rosary as it had broke . My mom passed in 2007 . I took in and they fixed it for me as I waited . I apologize that I didn't get his name . I would recommend anyone to go here before somewhere else . Thank you so much for fixing it for me

I can honestly say, I have never had the level of customer service David displayed for me. I bought my husband a watch for his 50th birthday which I wanted engraved on the back. I was supposed to pick it up a few weeks later, but he had issues getting it done and had to send it to Edmonton to his brothers store. They mistakenly didn't send it back by priority and it was delayed. We had already left for Banff for my husbands get away weekend. David drove all the way to Banff, and met us at the restaurant where I was able to give it to him on time.I am so blown away that he did this! So above and beyond. Thank you again David! We will always shop here for our jewelry needs.Oh, and on a side note, I had scoured the whole mall looking for a highish end watch, and couldn't find any until I got to Carat Jewellers. They also had the best selection!

A local business gem. Reading the negative reviews for this store, I really don't agree with them at all. The customer service my husband and I have received is impeccable. We have been giving him our business for over 5 years. David, the store owner and on-site goldsmith, has been in this industry for over 20 years. He used to manage the Carat Jewellers in Chinook Mall. He knows his stuff, and was able to repair, resize, rhodium plate, and polish my engagement ring for a fair price. We bought our wedding bands here too, where David AND Cynthia helped us out. David actually custom set the diamonds in mine! They were both very patient, polite, and understanding.My husband always brings his Bulova and Tissot watch collection here for battery replacements, and I also bought a pair of diamond earrings from David. I brought my mother-in-law here to have some rings appraised as well since David is a certified Gemologist.Photos attached are my engagement ring, wedding band, and earrings. My favorite is my wedding band.Them being a local business just adds to why you should support them over big box jewelery stores like People's.On a side note: While we were in the store a few months ago, we saw a very rude couple talking to the sales reps. The customers called the reps stupid for not knowing what they were talking about among other demeaning words. David firmly, and rightfully addressed them to stop verbally attacking his staff, and they went away huffing about how they would destroy his business with their reviews. I wanted to bring this to attention since some of the Google Reviews might not be entirely truthful and coming from a one-sided perspective, since we know David as a very kind and patient guy. There was one review I saw that singled him out as a Chinese man as part of the review. I don't understand why that would be relevant, but it didn't sit right with me since I have received singling out comments like that at my last job. So thought I would address it. By the way, he's Vietnamese!

Carat Jellewers was great. Nice to know that David is still around after all these years. Very friendly place and always willing to to go above and beyond to satisfy his customers. Not the greatest pics but beautiful rings and Jellewery.

I have been usually taking my watches for repair to Watch It in the mall but unfortunately they’ve gone out of business. I was referred to Carat Jewellers to go see David for my latest watch repairs. He was very friendly and did a great job. Prices were reasonable. I’ve found my new go to place and highly recommend for watch repairs in NW Calgary.

None of the recent reviews are true at all! I went to market mall with my fiancé to be in search of a 1ct diamond ring. Out of the 7 jewellery stores, David and Cynthia were the most helpful. They taught us about diamonds and kept within the budget we were looking for!I would highly recommend coming here!
