Maybe my expectations were too high, but I had been looking forward to going to jackalope, after seeing, reading, hearing how welcoming and inclusive of a space it is. Instead it felt transactional, cold. Sign the form. Wash your hands. Here's the design. And then silence. The silence during the tattooing didn't bother me, but the total lack of engagement and disinterest otherwise was disheartening, especially since it was my first tattoo. It felt like I was between them and dinner, rushed. I said I was nervous, and their response was it's ok"

Wonderful shop! Very clean and sanitary, still following covid protocols which is much appreciated.I worked with Jun and they were extremely kind. They made sure I felt comfortable the whole time, and all around made a wonderful experience!

M and the new receptionist were amazing! I had the best experience here. I highly recommend checking their artists out on instagram too! M was very communicative the whole time and made me feel safe, which is hard when I'm autistic and trans. this is such a great space for any person who's scared they won't fit in. I'll be coming back for sure!

Yesterday Angel started on my first big tattoo - a full arm sleeve. Her artistry is top notch, and she was more than accommodating when it came to tweaking the design to my preference. I appreciate the option for quiet appointments, and I could fully zone out while she worked. She didn’t linger in any one spot too long, and bounced between sensitive and more tolerable spots. which I so appreciated! Overall a great experience and I can’t wait for the finished product!

Jackalope tattoo is the best of the best. I had been researching tattoo artists that can do fine line, minimalist floral tattoos and found a few artists at Jackalope that love doing that kind of work. Due to scheduling and high demand, I had to wait a bit to get on the books but it was totally worth it. Based on word of mouth from people I know and other reviews, I knew that I would feel comfortable and that this would be the shop for me. Every single person I encountered in my experience was so so kind, professional, and inclusive. The artist that did my tattoo, Tiana, was amazing! They are so talented and artistic, but they also worked to make sure so felt safe, secure, and comfortable during my whole experience. My tattoo came out better than I could have ever imagined! I have gotten so many compliments and questions about where I got my tattoo. I cannot recommend Jackalope and their artists enough! It’s the only place I’ll ever go for a tattoo!

I got a tattoo from Tiana. First of all, I love the art. Second, they were very professional. Third, the pain level was very low as compared with similarly situated tattoos on my other arm. I would recommend them in a heartbeat.

Katie did a tattoo for me last night and the experience and work is out of this world. They did some of the best detailing and shading I’ve seen. I’m obsessed with the work they did for me. The shop has a great vibe and all of the artists are super friendly with customers and each other. 100/10 would recommend

Jackalope is easily one of the most supportive, welcoming, wonderful environments I’ve ever been in period - let alone just for tattoos. With a stunningly beautiful mission, care and connection between artist and client, I’ve had some gorgeous work done by multiple artists here over the last 8 years. The kindness and respect they treat everyone with radiates through, and they genuinely care about being a community and the well being of artists and clients alike. There’s been nothing but encouraging communication and support. Consistently excellent and a place that has changed my life and body for the better, I’m so grateful for the way they do things <3
