A beautiful spot to sit and eat. The staff were super friendly. We had the Chicken bacon ranch poutine and the Maple Bacon poutine. Both were amazing. We will be back.

Rooster's Fries is a gem hidden in almost plain sight! I'm not kidding... If you blink you might miss it - but don't! It's truly a great place to go if you're looking for the perfect home cut fries, and poutine! (yeah, I said it). Service is awesome, food is awesome, there is plenty of parking, and also tables at the back where you can sit and enjoy your meal. A must if you're in the area.

Rooster's used to be the best chip truck around, unfortuneatly they have gone the way of so many other chip trucks nowadays. They no longer peel their potatoes so you get the cruddy peel and sometimes a big black piece of potato ant they are not soft as usual but are actually tough to chew! Also had a peameal on a bun. The bun was cold and the peameal wasn't any warmer, when you bite into it it actually tasted doughy! Sorry but won't be spe ding any more money here. Very disappointed.

We've tried so many things on the menu, and every one of them is a winner! The portions sizes will definitely not leave you hungry.Shrimp tacos with its mango salsa are my absolute favourite! My husband can not choose just one favourite. He loves both the chicken bacon ranch poutine & brisket poutine.Sometimes, they'll have special features, trying their hand at rhubarb fritters, homemade bread, and various styles of poutine.

Classic fresh cut fries experience you really need to make the drive for. I was also very surprised at how good the burgers are as well. Nice and lean, juicy patties, fresh toppings, soft and chewy buns. I had the chipotle sauce, and it's more of a savoury taste with a zang, not a chipotle mayo, but it is incredibly flavourful and compliments the bacon way better.My wife had the fish and chips. She got the halibut and along with the already perfect fries, it's worth coming here for the fish and chips alone. Really great tartar sauce to pair with. There was the exact right amount of batter to give you that perfect ratio of coating to fish. And the fish came apart very easily, so you got a nice mix of textures with every bite, but the shell was just hard enough to keep everything together.There's a good amount of space of outdoor seating. The benches were also unnecessarily nice, they were a plastic composite that looked and had the feel of wood, and relatively new. And they had smaller benches for children as well. But they brought your food to your car as well.It backs onto a small pond that is kept tidy. A portapotty and a dedicated handwashing station are available, with bins *and* recycling. Every table had had sanitizers, were cleaned regularly, and all the staff were friendly and wore masks. They also had a barrier setup at the ordering window. Just a an all-star show all around.Only an hour out from Toronto or Durham on a nice scenic drive. There's a little gas bar that serves Indian food at weeknights, would be interesting go check that out too.

Food is always hit or miss. I used to say meh its close by but now with the price increases I don't think we'll be back. 7.25 for a hot dog. 11 for a small poutine.Specifically said this time, Can you make the fries crispy

Customer service was great, parking available. Lovely area to sit outdoors and they follow the social distancing rules. They have hand sanitizer. The fries were okay and the burger a little under done. Overall a good experience.
