Hand & Stone Massage and Facial Spa Markham

I've been coming to this location for 2 years upon moving to Markham (location is in plaza with groceries, restaurants, pharmacy and free parking.) from downtown Toronto. They were able to transfer my credit from the College location, which was helpful, although it was not a straightforward process (with head office). The RMTs that I've had here have all been great! The admin staff here are wonderful. If ever there was a mix-up or confusion about anything, the desk staff remained calm, professional and polite; even the youngest ones didn't get overwhelmed when confused, which is impressive. They offer water and are prompt about sending receipts electronically, which I really appreciate. I decided to write a review today, because after a stressful week, I somehow entered the time in my calendar incorrectly for another (medical specialist) appointment, resulting in a conflict, which I only realized the morning of my massage. It would be fully within their rights and understandable to charge me for the cancellation, but they were so kind and were empathetic about my personal situation and allowed me reschedule it later in the week without a fee as a one-off gesture of appreciation for my long-term patronage. That is so appreciated and immediately lifted a huge burden off my shoulders. We all need more kindness in this world, and more massages! Highly recommend.

For deep tissue massages Lilly is the absolute best. I've gone to her since I started at this location. Recently she wasn't available and I tried Sanny. She was wonderful as well. I don't like light fluffy massages, I like ones that heal and relax tight muscle knots. These ladies know what they are doing!!!

This place was great! The therapist was amazing. It's a definite place I will keep going back to.

Terrible service! I booked through online for RMT, but insurance rejected my claim and said they no longer able to claim RMT in this location! I called for refund, since she is not a RMT! but they said they don't offer refund. BE AWARE IF YOU ARE CLAIMING FOR INSURANCE. Apparently, the RMT is not qualified for insurance claim and NO ONE notify you.As of May 25, I am still waiting for phone call and email from manager. Please reply your email or call me back. Stop communicating with me in google review.

My first experience here was awesome! Miguel at the reception and the RMT Andrew were both very welcoming and friendly. They were able to put me at ease and the process was seamless from check in to check out. The massage really helped my problem areas and the RMT was very knowledgeable. I will definitely be returning.

Highly recommend Emily as an RMT. Been booking my appointments with her for a few months now and I always leave the appointment feeling relaxed!

Terrible customer service and no empathy.Please do not go to the Castlemore Ave in Markham location. If I could give zero stars I would! I made an appointment for massage the day before, I called in the day of the appointment to reschedule for another day as my daughter had fallen sick.Miguel at front desk would not even allow me to reschedule, since they have a 24hr notice required for me to cancel my appointment they will charge me, however I was not cancelling only rescheduling. Miguel was extremely rude saying he can’t help me and can’t reschedule my appointment to any day.I explained to Miguel my daughter is very sick today. But he did not show any empathy. He cared only about changing me which was close to $200I have been going there for my face and massage needs for years now. If they treat their regular customers with such horrendous customer service.Needless to say I ended up going as I didn’t want to be charged. When my massage was over, I asked Miguel for a copy of a paper receipt. He told me he’s out of paper and inventory. I will tell as many people as i can DO NOT EVER SUPPORT HAND AND STONE. There are better message companies to pick from.

I took a relaxing massage à after I had à muscle pain in the back and my neck. That was relaxing indeed. Sometimes I felt pain during the massage. I guess that’s ok, but I don’t know for sure.

I enjoyed my massage with RMT Emily. So if I was providing a rating on just the RMT, it would be 5 stars. However, for the first time, I wasn't impressed with the person at the front. Normally the people in the front are really friendly and explain things well. However, on this last visit, while the person wasn't rude, he was not welcoming, nor did he explain properly the fact that I would have to pay a price difference on using my previously accrued packages.
