Amazing baked goods and prices. From their loaves of bread to apple scones to their ‘ooey gooey’ squares… very delicious!Also had the soup of the day at Hurricane Heidi’s cafe and it was flavourful and enjoyable.

The bread was great. Chicken soup was amazing. Turkey sandwich was fabulous. What a great place.

I always like going to the Brookfield Bakery (& Hurricane Heidi's diner). The baked products are the yummiest, and there's always a lot of options to try. Still, the tried and true products, like brown bread and rolls, pan rolls, raisin bread, are so good. Our family has bought them for MANY years, since before I was born, I'm sure (and that was eons ago.) My uncle learned to bake there as a high school student. One of my favourites was always the date loaf, but they don't make it too often now, I guess. There is also a selection of locally roasted coffee, as well as homemade jams, pickles and relishes - it's delightfully like going to the church bazaar! And the staff are always efficient, friendly, and they know their stuff. Also, it is often fairly busy, and I usually run into old friends I haven't seen in awhile, which is great, as I don't get out there too much these days. And a few entertaining characters often show up, which is fun. Heidi's has much to offer as well - though I wish it was open more throughout the day. I recall their quiche, whatever type is on offer, as pretty tasty. I know that people come from far and wide, in the summer, especially. On this visit, we also were lucky enough to hijack" a very amenable young man
