Music & Language Learning Center

I have been both a student and an intern at the Music and Language Center, and I can confidently say that the MLLC is a fantastic resource for language learners and music students of all levels. During my time as a student, Kristine and her team were dedicated to furthering my fluency in French, and worked to accommodate my schedule and goals as a high school student. Additionally, being able to speak French in a classroom setting with other students at my level enabled me to be comfortable practicing the language and learning from my mistakes.As an intern at the MLLC, I was able to get behind the scenes access to how these classes function. From the beginning it was evident that Kristine and the other teachers were dedicated to their craft of helping students explore their interests in music and languages. Kristine was very understanding of my obligations as a college student intern, and helped create an internship where I could complete my tasks and learn about running a business without overloading me with assignments.Overall, I strongly recommend the Music and Language Center as a fantastic resource for students of all levels, and for students looking for an informative, rich internship experience.

Kristine proofread my thesis and it was a very nice experience! She helped with my grammar, gave great and extensive structural advice and kindly pointed out when clarification was needed. She was quick and easy to communicate with. I can only recommend working with her!

We’ve been using the Music and Language Learning Center since late 2022 for our 6 year old’s musical development. Initially, we’d sought out a music theory teacher to help our child expand upon his piano understanding but found so much more in Ms. Kristine and her team. Our child has learned and strengthened his scales, pitch, rhythm, and even started composing small songs. Ms. Kristine taught him Nuvo Instrumental’s “dood” (the kid-version of a clarinet!), which he mastered in a matter of months - virtually, no less - and is now ready for clarinet, if he wishes. Aside from the educational gains, MLLC has been nothing short of professional. Eugene has helped us reschedule classes numerous times and been so patient with us whenever we need help troubleshooting. We are so grateful for them. If I could give them ten stars, I would.

The Music & Language Center is a fantastic organization led by Kristine Dizon. Kristine works tirelessly for all her students and truly wants them to succeed. I highly recommend the MLLC.My daughter has thrived under her programme studying both music theory and clarinet. Her teaching technique with children is fun, engaging, and well structured. Kristine has designed her own materials which make music theory easy to grasp even for young learners. The clarinet repertoire is exciting and similar to theory, she has designed her own materials. We plan to study with Kristine for many years to come!

I signed up my two daughters for a 10-day intensive over two weeks. Both girls and I thoroughly enjoyed the class! Ms. Kristine and her team have excellent content developed, primarily in the form of slides which have extensive multi-media options including audio of words and videos of interesting topics. I was very impressed with how well Ms. Kristine managed the class, providing motivation, fun, content, correction, and encouragement. Our classes were an hour long, and for the full amount of time, Ms. Kristine had us all engaged, thinking, and smiling. Thank you!
