Rockglen Motel

Our room was quiet, clean, comfortable and met our needs perfectly. It was basic but I wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Pinky, the owner was immensely helpful. Our family gathering of 13 adults were welcomed warmly, given a tour of the facilities and provided with attention and kindness. Pinky made everyone feel comfortable, and provided a delicious selection of breakfast foods, coffee, juices etc. Our dinner reservation was canceled due to an emergency. She offered to prepare our meal. Truly, she was thoughtful, kind and helpful beyond expectations. We have numerous pictures of our time together which Pinky took and shared. We all felt she was a lovely friend and left with positive wishes . It was a great convenience to be able to stay in RockGlen to attend a Memorial service.

Very clean, retro vibe rooms. Everything worked as it should. The Nephews of the owner were running the show and were super, I got in pretty late when everything was closed in town. They brought me some samosa they had made up and it was very savory. Thanks Guys!

Nice spot, very friendly welcome. Bathroom could have been cleaner, taps/toilet not cleaned, someone else's soap and shampoo in shower!Needs a little more property tiding, removing Reno garbage from room view. Appreciate the 24 hr access to coffee room.

Awesome service and friendly staff! I showed up at 2am and was greeted with the most welcoming people that made me feel comfortable about coming so late. Highly recommend!

I arrived Tuesday July 5 to a gracious and generous welcome. I only intended to stay for a night. The town of Rockglen was so beautiful the next day as I had time to take in the hills and valleys surrounding the town. The visitor center, the Rockglen Heritage Orchard, Fife Lake, a community supper, and the longest running rodeo at Wood Mountain just a few days ahead - all invited me to enjoy all the town had to offer. I will be staying through Saturday night.Pinky and her team are extraordinary folk who are the kind of people who should and do own this motel. They are kind, generous, and knowledgeable about what is happening in their community. They want your stay to be memorable.If they invite you to eat please say yes, because Pinky cooks amazing traditional Indian food.The rooms, furnishings, and linens are clean, the rooms self contained with mini fridge, microwave, comfortable beds. Hot water for shower/bathing is more than adequate and the air conditioner adjustable to your desires.I forgot to add that there is a unit that is open 24/7 for coffee, toast, or just a snack. Very close to Grasslands East Block. Stayed here for 2 nights in Sept 2022, room was clean and lovely, great shower. The owners are amazing people, they will bend over backwards to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable. There is an open tea/coffee room that is always available.

Our stay here was AMAZING! Pinky is the best host ever. She went over the top with everything. The rooms are slightly dated but clean and comfy!We were a very big group in town for a funeral and pinky was so accommodating. It was the little extras for me! She even cooked us some traditional Indian dishes. They were AMAZING. Stay here. Stay here. Stay here!

The owners of the motel have been beyond accommodating and understanding. I'm a travelling union boilermaker, down here for work and When my employer failed to pay my living subsistence on time they allowed me to stay in good faith, racking up over $1000 in owed charges. Also when the pilot light went out for the hot water, they have opened their home to provide hot shower until the service technician can make it to the motel. This is during a huge winter storm that has seen over 30cm of snow fall in 24hrs and is still coming down with 100km/h winds. The entire landscape was dry and clear yesterday afternoon and now it looks like a scene from the movie the day after tomorrow". If I ever work in this area in the future I would not dream of staying anywhere else"

I arrived late and was offered free food as soon as I arrived. My whole experience at this motel was wonderful. From having a clean room, morning coffee and extremely friendly staff. Cant recommend enough. Such a great little place

Great little place, hosts Nick and Pinky are personable, helpful and make sure you have everything you need. They even cooked me eggs in the morning with a little curry! Ill be coming back.
