Mystic Ramen
Went here with the hubby on good Friday! We both had the shoyu Tokyo and it didn't disappoint! The broth was flavorful but not too overwhelming. The noodles were cooked well, chewy but firm. The best part about the dish was the pork! So tender and cooked to absolute perfection. We even got an additional order of it. The chicken karaage was also well cooked and juicy. The staff were lovely and very attentive. 10/10 will definitely visit again soon!

This place is amazing! One of our favorites. I'm not a ramen connoisseur, but I've had a few bowls. This place is one of the best! Ramen is 10/10. Meat eaters and vegetarians will be happy. Staff is so hard working and friendly. We love them. The decor in this place is perfect for a ramen shop. Japanese themed without being cluttered. They do Asahi (beer) on tap and have fun (and a just a bit pricey) cocktails that are japanese themed/ingredients as well. Call for reservations to help schedule yourself in on busy nights...Just a heads up, check their hours before stopping by.

Fantastic! My wife and I went for lunch on Saturday, and we barely beat the lunchtime rush (we were there around noon but the tables really filled up around 12:30pm). Our waiter was quite knowledgeable and introduced us to two top recommendations, and we loved both! Broth is RICH and the flavour is bold. Ramen texture is absolutely wonderful. Definitely coming back for more!

We wanted to try a new Ramen place near by so we came here. We were greeted and seated promptly. Our server was wonderful and the resteraunt has a nice quaint and cozy vibe. I had to go with the classic Ramen with a 24 hour simmered broth base. Very rich with flavor and complexity, slightly on the salty side. The karaage chicken was very juicy and had great flavor however it was not fully fried and the breading was not crispy but soggy with oil. Not what I'm used to but my wife said she loved it. I guess it falls to personal preference. I was all still very delicious but not quite 5 star. This place is a solid 4 star for me and definitely has potential for a higher rating in future visits. Well refined menu which I like. In my opinion the less items that are on a menu the more perfected they are likely to be.Moving on:One of the most important boxes on my check list is price point. The price vs portion here is a little on the high end. Other Ramen spots I have rated 5 star came in at a lower price point and offered a larger portion without up selling and egg. So I kind of got lost on that detail. Either way if you're hungry and love ramen, Mystic Ramen is definitely worth checking out. Let me know how you like this spot?

Mystic Ramen
I went as a group of 6 on a Sunday during Hamilton Open (which we weren't aware of was happening since we were coming out of town). Mystic Ramen was just a bit beyond the strip of coffee/brunch places and I really loved the aesthetic of the place. While it was a surprise for them to have a large group come in so close to closing for midday break (we went at 2 and they closed at 3pm), they were accommodating and got us seated about 10mins later. The server was very energetic and extremely helpful when explaining the different ramen we could choose from. She was also attentive and brought us new water refills when needed. We ordered Karaage and which came within reasonable time and ramen(s) came a bit later (however I would like to mention they were still very busy with new customers coming in 30mins before the closing for a break).Taste wise, the Kaarage was very juicy and tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. The custom ramen I ordered was delicious and creamy. The pork belly was juicy and the soft boiled egg was just right.Overall, I would like to come back again if I was ever in the area. Their customer service and food is fantastic and I would definitely recommend Mystic Ramen!

What an amazing experience...staff AWESOME, food AMAZING...I can't wait to go back. Waitstaff are so friendly and knowledgeable. You walk in the door, and the owner greets you like you guys are long-time friends, and when you leave, she thanks you for coming, and you honestly forget you're at a restaurant. I told her 'thank you for having us' the same way I would to friends as I'm leaving their home. I can't recommend this place enough, food was so yummy, appetizers were delicious and that beer, have the beer, hands down better than Sapporo, 5 stars isn't enough.

If I could give this place 1000 stars, I would. We have been customers of Mystic for years and were likely some of the first people who tried them when they took over their stall in the market. I am so proud of how they have grown and expanded in popularity and I AM OBSESSED with their beautiful new storefront on King William. I have never had a negative experience at Mystic and have been bringing friends and family there religiously.Owners: two beautiful souls who are passionate about inclusiveness and authentic soul food. The kindest and most humble people you will meet in the restaurant industry.Food: something for everyone! They have vegan and gluten free options as well as a slew of broths and noodle types. They also just expanded their menu to include tasty appetizers like the edamame dip (YUMMO!). My personal favourite is the tantanmen.. a nutty and rich broth served with ground pork (or puffed tofu) and the best damn ramen eggs in the world. I like to ask for two scoops of gunpowder to make it extra spicy.Ambiance: beautifully designed interior with unique artwork and fixtures. The bar is also gorgeous and I love the handpicked decor and custom ordered peices.Inclusiveness: these people care about the Hamilton community, and everyone in it. They often fundraise for various charities and they support indigenous and LGBTQ2S+ rights. I love how much they give back and care.Overall: Run! Don't walk to try these beautiful bowls of ramen (seriously, they are like art to look at). Make a reservation so you aren't disappointed as they are consistently busy, especially in the colder months xoxo

What a delight to have such a nice spot in Hamilton. Nicely made menu with different dishes with some amazing bases. Tapas style dishes with a twist. Some nice soups with signature noodles. Sake rocks here.

We are absolutely enthralled with a recent visit to Mystic Ramen on Good Friday. This restaurant came with high recommendations from a friend and we were NOT disappointed. The décor is nicely done (especially the seated bar) and environment is very cozy and inviting. Environment aside, the staff made our seating and experience delightful from entry to exit. I will admit the space constraints (as with a lot of niche downtown restaurants with smaller footprints) did place a bit of hesitation in us entering with a stroller and kid, we were nevertheless welcomed warmly and accommodations were made for seating. Washroom facilities were clean, thoughtful and minimalistic. The washrooms are down a staircase, so it may pose an issue for those with mobility issues (I admit I did not personally see a main floor washroom/elevator).We were provided with a QR scan card that took us a digital menu. It was easy to navigate and prices were reasonable. It was not until I had a chance to eat the food before being absolutely floored by the quality and felt the prices were more than justified. The portion sizes are fair, but do expect to order appetizers or accompanying items as a single main dish is not enough to fill. The broth is strong and aromatic, nothing out of a can" or "from powder" which ties in nicely with our chosen dishes. It was a delight downing all the broth after the noodles and didn't leave us with a terrible after taste and dehydrated. I am informed that it's a nut-free establishment

Mystic Ramen
The broth and presentation of the ramen were absolutely outstanding. The staff were very kind and treated me like an old friend. The restaurant was busy but the food arrived very quickly. The Ashai Japanese beer was really interesting. It leaves a ring Around every sip as the drink goes down. The service was also very quick and they were attentive to my needs. I found the artwork and Japanese themes of the restaurant to be very beautiful. Definitely the top spot for ramen in Hamilton for a reason!
