Located in the former Stroh’s ice cream factory on Gratiot near Eastern Market, we stopped in at Detroit Vineyards to see what kind of grapes grow in Detroit! It was February...so we didn't see any grapes but we got to taste test some Detroit Vineyard wine! The inside of Detroit Vineyards is impressive with its industrial look with floating tables and the wall of wine! I recommend the Detroit Flight which consisted of:2017 Dry Riesling2018 Semi-Dry Riesling2019 Rose’2017 Merlot2019 Rye Aged CyserThe wine flights are a HEALTHY pour and was a great way to end our night after our dinner. I’m not a wine expert by any means but I enjoy dry red cabs. I really liked the Detroit Flight since it had a variety of new wines to try.I liked the dry riesling, the Rose’ and the rye aged cyser best.(Who am I kidding, we drank them all and enjoyed them)The flight was complimentary with the purchase of 3 bottles of wine so it was an easy deal to pick up!The Detroit Post-Industrial decor provided a cool place to drink some wine! I really liked the floating tables and the chance to see the wine barrels stocked in the store room. It’s a recommended go to spot and we’ll be back!

Went with my wife over the past weekend to attend their Food and Wine Pairing" experience. The service was terrible. The owner and worker were unwelcoming and acted as if they did not want to serve us which is unbelievable because we were the only 2 customers there at the time. We ended up leaving 20 minutes into the event after sitting and barely being addressed."

Detroit Vineyards is a truly unique place. Not only are they a winery in Detroit, but the wine is excellent. The space is gorgeous and perfect for wine tasting and learning about the wines, winemaking, and anything else wine related. The staff is knowledgeable and incredibly helpful. They host wine dinners and will often host pop ups, too. Definitely worth visiting.

Came early for whiskey tasting next door and stayed for wine tasting here. Super nice staff and nice wine. I will come back next time I'm in town.

Really enjoyed our Mother's Day brunch at Detroit Vineyards! The staff was amazing and so thoughtful and attentive. I loved all of the wines we were served and the charcuterie board was so yummy!! Can't wait to come back and try the new wines that will be released soon!! Please give them a visit. It is such a treat.

Please do not patronize this business they are not accommodating to their guest and very rude. I hate to say racist because I don’t know if this is how they just treated us or all of their guest. We were their for a birthday party and winded up with more guest then the reservation. Understanding that businesses sometimes can not accommodate larger party sizes at the last minute, we would’ve understood if the place was packed. It was only us and maybe 5 other people. The place was basically empty. Our host was very rude and not accommodating to one of the girls in our group because we were only allowed 6 per table, but since I didn’t drink you would think she (the host) would’ve ask our other guest would she like to join the tasting. Instead she ignored her and until we said something about it. She think became very upset and switched us to another host. As we were leaving the owner mocked my friend as she was walking out the door and proceeded to talk about our group. Please do not patronize this business, they should be shut down.

Used to love it. However, we were told we can’t bring our baby in so we can pick up our wine club bottles and so my wife can have a quick flight for the first time in 11 months despite it being completely empty at 2 pm on a Friday. Dude seems rude to people too based on reviews despite always being nice to us. Oh well.Won’t be members anymore.

We had a wonderful experience here for Father’s Day. From the service to the wine, everything was amazing. Every wine sample that was included in the flight was delicious and the space was unique and modern. Don’t guide yourself by the negative reviews. Come and visit this Michigan staple!

Our group of 11 people was turned away for no good reason, the winery was nearly empty and they told us our party was too big. We offered to split into smaller groups and they would not accommodate us due to ‘policy’. We are wine lovers and experienced tasters and would have loved to have spent the afternoon there…it was so odd, as if the management wanted this establishment to fail. Do not waste your time at this place, there are so many other unique welcoming places downtown.
