Can’t go wrong with the lobster roll. Fresh and great quality. Blankets were a nice touch for the crisp fall day. Coffee could have been better! Would recommend this place to anyone looking for a high quality lobster roll.

Yummy lobster roll with not too much sauce. Also tried their Charlie Burger and kids had hot dogs. Their sangria is nice too. There was an order mixup so one of us got order later. Otherwise cute outdoor sitting under a wooden barn.

Amazing Lobster roll, lots of fresh lobster. Clam chowder was also great and full of seafood. Atmosphere was good. Dog friendly patio.

Nice open spaced eating area off the main st. Nice selection of food entrees and sides. Lobster rolls were plentiful, with nice chunks of lobster @$26. Plus a side salad was very tasty with good selection of veggies. Kettle chips topped off this nice lunch! The location and service was optimum!

We loved the atmosphere of this place! We went for lunch and weren't disappointed. My chicken thigh sandwich with roasted peppers and chimichurri sauce was delicious and my husband said his chowder was full of meat and quite worth the price. The funny thing about St Andrew's is that even though it is a tourist town, almost every restaurant closes their kitchen at 8pm. After our evening whale watching excursion, we went back to Char and Chowder as it's the only place serving food at this time (food is served until 9:30 and the bar closes at 11). Unfortunately they were out of some of their menu items by the time we arrived but we really enjoyed Charlie's Burger, and the grilled pound cake was a unique treat. We were told the roof over the patio was new for this year and thank goodness, because it started raining while we were there. I highly recommend this restaurant!

Strongly recommended!!!Friendly staff, ample seating & delicious food!We had the Lobster Roll, Charlie’s Burger & Seafood Chowder accompanied by Pumphouse’s Crafty Radler & Gahan’s Blueberry Ale. It was all delicious!The chowder has a generous amount of seafood. The burger was perfectly cooked and well-seasoned.Prices are a bit high but everything we tried was worth it.

The most adorable outdoor/indoor place to hang out in St Andrews. Food was delicious, atmosphere was perfect and the staff were all wonderful. Accommodated our large group of 12.

Good food in a unique setting. The very open concept of this place invites large crowds and excitement. And the wood and steel add to the atmosphere and fun.The Maritime Fisherman's Stew was hearty with lots of potato and the fresh flavours of the sea. The seared scallops while small as an overall dish were perfectly done and delicious.

Fantastic place. New menu is really good. Food is high quality, tasty, and fresh. Service is really good too at the bar, and at the table. Love the vibe. Looking forward to returning often over the summer.I must mention that the burgers are VERY good. Fresh tasty high quality double patty smash burgers. A must have ! Others agree so far that these burgers are Water Street’s BEST BURGER, hands down.The fries are very good too, saltier that I normally like but very good.

Amazing seafood chowder and the blueberry cider is delicious.The vegetarian burger was a favourite among our group as was the chowder.They are extremely pet friendly, they bring a bowl of water for your pet and even give them treats.The only thing to note is that they say they are open until 11 however they stop serving food at 9:30 and only serve drinks after that.
