Merchant Quarters General Store / Blacksmith Shoes

Loved the atmosphere and vibes if this store, the customer service was excellent, the employees were very nice and talkative. We purchased 2 earrings and love them. The clothing are all very trendy and in style. The jewelry is very cute and some are handmade I believe. They also have soaps, and little knick knacks. Very aesthetic and cute little store.

Absolutely loved the staff! Everyone is super fun, helpful, and knowledgeable. Fantastic collection of shoes, clothes, and accessories. Planning to pop in again this coming weekend :)

This store is wonderful. I have personally never been inside but recently ordered from them online. I had been searching for a specific jacket from one of my favorite companies (Tentree). The jacket was sold out everywhere online but I finally found it on the Merchant Quarters website. The only problem was they are located in Canada and do not ship to the U.S. I decided to reach out to the company to see if they would make in exception in sending it to Seattle - not too far from Victoria. Karen and Jenn were so quick to respond to my email and called me on the phone that same day. They graciously agreed to send the jacket to me and I was able to pay over the phone. Normally I would not do this with just any company but I had previously read great reviews online for being personable and friendly. They sent me a copy of the receipt via email and I received the jacket less than one week later that was in a sturdy box and included a lovely thank you card. I hope to someday shop at Merchant Quarters in person - might have to plan a trip to Victoria soon!

Such a great store. The staff there are really fun and helpful. They were very sweet when I was having a tough time deciding what size of Birkenstock I needed and didn’t pressure me. Love going here and can’t recommend it enough.

I’ve been a fan of this store for a quite a while. I love their merchandise and there customer service. I went back in there today to let them know something I’d bought from them had an issue. They went above and beyond to make it right. I am super impressed. It’s important to shop local and you can feel good about shopping with them because they are so great. PS: they are now selling adorable Christmas decorations made by a 14 year old. The owner saw her creations at a craft fair & decided to sell them at her store. How cool is that?

The very kind owner came through with some help for my 6 year old son who had thought wearing his mama’s size 10 shoes to Canada Day celebrations was a good joke. Just pure kindness and community. The store is full of many of my favourite local items and I will happily shop here - I hadn’t gone in before because I’m rarely downtown, but when I need a gift or perhaps a Tofino towel or a new pair of shoes (some of my fav brands in there!) - I will definitely pop in and support this shop. A must visit! Not only does this shop have a great variety of quality, on trend clothing and beautiful local products, but the customer service is next level! The staff here always go above and beyond to help you find what you need and make sure you have a positive experience. Highly recommend this shop to locals and out of town visitors!

Very poor and horrible customer service. One of the reps is very rude. Asked her for the bathroom key and she gave me and my friends attitude. She practically kicked us out as we were sitting on the couch. She said “Can I help you guys”. We said “no” and she said “yeah that’s right”. In a very rude tone. Also very overpriced stuff which you can get for the same price at any other flagship store anyway.

Upon coming into the store with our dog, we were greeted by a lovely lady who gave our dog treats and made us feel so welcomed! Browsing around, the staff were so pleasant, professional and not overbearing! They made us feel like we wanted to spend lol. We will be back again!
