We worked with Embark Homes over a 7 month period to completely renovate our dream home and we could not recommend this company more highly. It's hard to write a review that expresses just how wonderful our experience was. The communication was excellent, clear, and timely. We got regular updates and were involved quickly when any problems or changes occurred. We initially had some set backs on timeline that were not in Embark's control (permits during COVID, etc.) but Embark's timeline estimates were accurate and they worked hard to finish our project within a fairly short timeline for the extent of work. We always felt their urgency in pushing our project toward the finish line. We felt Embark understood us as clients and what our priorities were, which made both budget and design discussions easier. Often, they would present us with a few quotes and could guide us through them so we felt we were getting the best price and quality balance. I felt they negotiated pricing very well and their initial budget was much more cost effective than competing companies we spoke with. We did increase the budget over the project, but this was mostly due to us adding scope to the project since we realized how excellent Embark was and no longer wanted to do anything without them. There were only a few other small, unplanned amendments to the budget that I felt were entirely reasonable and to be expected in such a large project (and which Embark did warn us should be expected so in a sense this was planned" for in the budgeting meetings). Embark checked in regularly to make sure we knew where we were financially and would always update us immediately when changes occurred. Josh

Embark Homes helped me recently with renovations to my condo and I cannot say enough good things about working with them. Josh was friendly, punctual, always responsive, and professional. Throughout the duration of the project he frequently kept me updated on the timeline and budget, which alleviated a lot of stress during a busy renovation. The final product was exactly how I imagined it as well. I’m grateful to have found Embark Homes and fully intend to use them again in the future. My wife and I were debating about our kitchen project for about two years, but never reached the point of decision; something was missing until we heard from Josh, from Embark Homes, he visited us and listened of what we were looking for.The expertise and good taste that Josh demonstrates, his good ideas plus seeing other projects his company has done, all came together to the point of decision and finally we ended having a kitchen we love, our kids and friends also agreed that it looks great, and not only that, we decided to extend the renovation to our bathrooms.We are very happy and want to thank Josh for his guidance.

The finished product exceeded our expectations as they worked tirelessly on the details to make sure the project turned out beautifully.We recently completed a total home renovation (to the studs) of our 3600 square foot home in Burnaby. Josh and his team worked confidently with our interior designer to bring our shared vision to life, while also respecting our budget. We had been warned by others of the headaches and obstacles that we would encounter when completing a renovation of this magnitude. To this day, people are shocked when we tell them we found it to be a low-stress experience, as we had excellent guidance and trades working on our home. In seven months, we were able to move back into a cozy, yet sophisticated space that works well for our family.The key to the success of our project was communication and transparency. Josh is very attentive to his clients, welcoming questions and meetings so that you always feel comfortable with what his happening with your home. He explains options, costs, and timelines clearly and without a great deal of jargon. We learned so much and know the intimate details of our home as we met frequently to review progress and make decisions together all along the way. Any time we asked for guidance, he always led us in the right direction.In the office, it is much the same. JC is quick to respond about invoices, orders, and options for materials. He remained in contact throughout the project to ensure all of our fixtures, tiles, flooring, and appliances arrived on time. We experienced none of the ‘supply-chain’ issues that people had warned us about. That speaks to the forward planning and experience of this team.We would whole-heartedly recommend Embark Homes for your home renovation or construction project!

I cannot say enough about Josh and the whole team at Embark Homes. My wife and I had a great deal of anxiety about doing a major renovation on our condo, we knew so many friends with so many horror stories about dishonest and unprofessional contractors, who did terrible work. Our anxiety quickly evaporated upon meeting with and seeing how Josh and JC worked. From day one, they were ultra professional, incredibly organized and responsible. They drew up a schedule which they kept to; stayed on budget and were completely transparent in every transaction. Their communication skills were timely and concise. This was a major renovation from floor to ceiling and it went as smooth as anyone could hope for. When there were issues, Josh handled them as if he was working on his own house. The amazing attention to detail, made our reno quite perfect in every way. Five stars does not do justice to the work performed by Embark on this project!

Hired Embark Homes for a double bathroom renovation and had a very positive experience. Josh is extremely professional and a pleasure to work with. The job was completed on budget and Embark got the job done quicker than the timeline outlined in the original proposal. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for professional renovation work.
