Calgary Transit - Spring Gardens Administration and Garage

The amount you pay for a pass is not worth the service you get. Buses are often late, or don't even show up. I have been standing at a bus stop and the bus just drives by more times than I'd like to count. But, compared to other cities I've lived in the transit here is about the same, so props for not being the worst.

I ride Calgary transit every day and have used it to get to every part of the city in every kind of weather....I find it to be very reliable, and most of the drivers are knowledgeable and friendly, I do not know why people would say anything otherwise

Since I cannot contact you on email or Facebook I suppose I will leave my complaint here. I live near the Fishcreek-Lacombe station. I am very disappointed with your lack of parking spaces there. Do you really need 3 whole lots sectioned off for reserved parking"? Both overflow parking lots were full while your 3 reserved lots sat mostly empty. I was forced to park many blocks away. And don't give me the whole "you could take the bus". Your buses are incredibly unreliable and route 15 comes once every 20-30 mins. I'm going to be late for my class literally due to lack of parking. This is why I try to avoid transit when possible.And on top of that

I've used Calgary Transit for almost 20 years. Its been 20 years of sometimes adequate and sometimes disappointing service.The Good:As someone who has mostly lived in the inner city Calgary Transit offers a variety of ways for me to get to my destination and most of the time it works out. Simple, functional, and efficient. As a transit system should be, they don't need to wipe my ass too...The Bad:Since moving to Bowness, Route 1 has been my main ride. Lets look into the things that suck about the ol' number 1.Drivers are always early:I hate this. I'm happily rounding the corner 5 minutes before its ETA and boom there he goes. Looking at me as I wave and run hopelessly after him.Thug" teenagers:Lets spend some time on this one. If I brought a 'boom box' onto the bus and blasted my Cypress Hill cassette when I was 16 the bus driver would have thrown my ass out in the cold. Every other day I get on this bus and there's a group of fake thugs sitting there with a cell phone on max volume playing some lyrically appalling horror in the presence of children and grandparents alike. Will the driver do anything about this? Not even when requested.And another thing

People complain about things they could fix themselves like following the schedule, being at the right bus stop, having the right fare ready, the drivers aren't there to make people's lives stressful, they're doing their jobs as safely as they can with all that's going on around them. People should realize that things happen and it's almost always the drivers who are blamed for it.

For the money and huge advantages the city of Calgary has, the public transportation system is shamefully inadequate and compared to Asia and Europe is outright pathetic. The city and province of Alberta should be utterly ashamed at the level of social services they provide, at least the element that is not bought and sold by corporations as PM stephen harper is.

Someone should have a chat with the guy driving bus 1847 right now because even though his bus is off and doesn't have any passengers doesn't mean he can do 20 over the speed limit. It's 60, not 80, you're not driving your personal vehicle, you're a liability who is going to cost Calgary transit in the long run.

As a frequent user of Calgary transit, never had any issues before but lately i feel like they are hiring more and more rude drivers. Based on a recent experience, where the driver saw the person getting in .. She still decided to close the bus door.. Thank god the person did not get injured.. I guess we all need life insurance just in case before getting on the bus.. Be safe people while getting on the bus..

This city's Transit system is an embaressment and a testament to albertas low taxes. But the worst thing about it is the conception thr drivers have to allow 30 people or more to wait in the cold for no reason. As I and 20 people walk off the bus and head to the platform, an almost empty train at a station that wont have a train comming for another 15 minutes takes off, honking and sounding the warning lights as people are despretley trying to catch the train and avoid a needless delay in their life. If this were a subway or it was a train station in the middle of the line I could understand, but in this case it's purely the train drivers ironically trying to be on time by 1 minute (maybe they get disciplined for being one ninute late) and that causes the train driver to avoid all logic and allow 25 people who were all right about at the door. This is why i make it my perogative to hold the doors for everyone, to tell people to move back in busses and trains to allow people to ride and get home safely. Because I care about the people in my city unlike the greedy faceless corporation that is Calgary Transit.
