U-Haul Moving & Storage of West Speedvale

My uncle and I rented a truck to help move my grandmother into a retirement home. It was cold and some of the trucks were having issues starting (which we happened to get one of the trucks that had this issue).Everything went okay for the unloading and loading process. Once we were finished we refueled the vehicle and took it back. We were given an additional fee for something that the cold weather had affected if I can recall and the gas meter was showing differently from when we got it. (I can't remember the full story) but I just remember we were wrongfully given that fee.The girl that was inspecting the trucks was not very friendly. Typical entitled teenager behavior almost and just wanted to argue.

Jessi at this location is the best! Fantastic customer service and really went the extra mile to help us out finding a trailer last minute when another plan fell through. Thank you Jessi you are amazing !

Service is good. I signed up for 24/7 truck share option and requested a truck for 7am and however i got the truck at 10am. Therefore no trust in this 24/7 truck share option. Trucks are good in condition. They also have indoor and outdoor units. But they do not have gates or fences like other storage places.

All in all a good location. Clean, helpful lots of stock, but it really starts my moving day off on a bad foot when they try to call 10 minutes before pick up the truck. I was already on my way. When I got there they said my truck was not back from the last renters, but there were at least 3 or 4 in the yard. This was 8 AMWhy wouldn't they call a person picking up later? I had people lined up for 8 hours of moving and that would have really messed up our moving day. So Uhaul in general should:1) Make stronger penelties for people who don't plan well and don't come back on time2) Not book quite so tight3) Not make people feel bad for being there for pick up at their desiganated time.Folks renting, plan extra time for issues! Have the truck back ready for the next people.

I understand that there are the restrictions of equipment, however, I never received a call regarding the changes and was booked for a one-way trip with no intention of driving 2hours back to Guelph. On my moving day they said that they were only able to provide a truck that had to be returned and said I could get a reduced rate for mileage so I wouldn't be paying for a full 2 trips (there and back).They then charged me for the full amount and when I called to discuss with the manager, they could not help me and said I would be contacted by a higher up to discuss further. I never received a call from the higher up and am still out over $100 (I was supposed to save) after doing everything right with the rental and returning it to this location. Absolutely awful experience.

I think it’s offensive that they have moms attics it’s should be named something different it offends me me being a man I feel I shouldent use it cuz it’s for moms maybe people’s attic

Excellent and courteous service with the availability of the 5X8 enclosed trailer twice within 2 weeks. Close by and well operated - professional and efficient.

Lower costs. Ridiculous to rent a box on wheels and it costing more than $300. I could have hired movers for less.I once looked into a car dolly to tow a friends car, and it cost as much as a tow from CAA, and I was putting the wear on my own vehicle. Never giving another dollar to U-Haul until it’s more valuable to do so. Next time, specialized company can do it for less, and I don’t have to do any work.

It was a snap to rent a van here. There was no line when we arrived. We were on our way within minutes. Staff were friendly and efficient. Equipment was clean and everything ran well.
