Only 50 minutes drive from dt and you're gonna have a nice view of the lake , mountain and sky. I went their late night to watch full moon. I enjoyed the view in daylight better. Parking is free and not a big deal. I saw many ppl camping around, have no experience with it

I’ve only been to a handful of campgrounds in bc, but this is my new favourite. Love that we have access to the water connected to the campsite with a stream running by. Beautiful ocean and mountain views. We even saw a locomotive train pass by. The one downside was the sea lions they are amazing animals, but very loud even throughout the night. Booking is super competitive and could only get an overnight stay. (This is campsite 1 & 2)

Though our visit to this provincial park was little short but we enjoyed every bit of it. It’s a very neat and well maintained campground. It’s got some amazing views. Also you may catch a glimpse of harbor seals if you’re lucky.

Scored a coveted site from a cancelation. Near the walkin sites so quieter, right on water. Only train activity was during the day and noisy seal lions were far enough away plus ear plugs guarantee a good night. Depending on tide dragging kayak to water does involve scrambling over logs and rocks. Wind and tide varied but got in a few paddles in a sit on top kayak. Gorgeous views and sunsets. Didn't use the showers or washroom as we have our own so can't speak to cleanliness.

Well, this one is a mixed bag. Gorgeous ocean front location, easy access, AC power, showers, in short: almost glamping".Downsides: CN rail and highway practically next to the campground (both noisy)

Our walk in Campsite was nice, but there wasn’t any common courtesy at all. Children where walking right through our campsite, screaming at the top of there lungs after 11pm at night, people would leave there things plugged in the only outlets all day long, shining lights on our tent at 3am in the morning. Hoarding the wheel barrows and not returning them so everyone can use them. I’ve never been so upset with my fellow campers before. We ended up leaving a day early and we will not be coming back. It’s apparent some rules aren’t being enforced and new ones need to be put in place if people are going to act with so little respect.

Train passing by next to the campground can be noisy but it doesn’t last long and isn’t frequent. Reserving sites right on the water is the play! Such amazing views and value. The campground is relatively small but intimate and it’s nice that way. Will definitely be coming back. If you need ice or last minute things on the way, stop at the Lions Bay general store - 5 minute detour!

Well run campground with adequate amenities. Washroom/ toilet pit is clean and well maintained. Bonus - good quality toilet paper, unlike some parks with very thin and easily torn toilet paper. The only downside for me was campsites are quite close together - not so much of privacy.

This is a must stop when you visit BC...you can get amazing pics and also get down to the beach and enjoy the water. It's a pet friendly area as well ^_^
