The younge girl was very friendly and warm welcoming. Quite knowedgable of Golden and the area and was curious about what my interests are so she could direct me the right way.

Driving East thru Golden…spent the night there, after Traveling from Maple Ridge….a quaint little town and the scenery is beautiful and can go for walks thru downtown by the river…beautiful and friendly people!!!

The sanitation ($7.00) flushing hose does not have a connector to attach longer hose. The drinking water pressure is extremely low, takes for ever to fill an RV. The wifi hotspot is not connected to the internet. The line up to speak to a human is too long. Altogether an extremely un welcoming experience.Go to the Centex /Mountain Mart instead the sanidump is $5:00 and the WiFi is free and super fast and they have a nice laundry.And at the moment the info for the Visitor Center is showing ‘Temporarily Closed’ what a useless operation!

7 bucks to use the sani-dump... we thought that was acceptable until the machine took our money and gave us one minute to open the dump cap... that remained locked throughout the 1minute countdown... hope you do something cool with my stolen money, Golden

Great rest stop. There is a visitor centre that is staffed and will answer any questions you have. There are washroom facilities available and they are clean and well lit. There are picnic tables here. It’s a really nice stop.

Very nice rest area to stop at. Bathrooms always seem to be clean. They have a RV Sani-dump site but they charge $7 to dump at which I feel is a very steep price. If this was a privately owned location, that price would be ok but it’s not. We came to the region and spent our hard earned money to businesses that pay taxes to the municipality. That should be sufficient.
