I was blindsided by the pricing in this habitat. Might as well go and buy whatever you want new. For example, a propane firepit was $1200 dollars. The same one at Costco is 699.99 brand new. Idk who's pricing items at this location, but it is unbelievable.

We used to love coming here. I'm not sure what has happened to this place (probably excessive greed like everything else), but the prices have become beyond outrageous. We have been shopping here for years and based on what we've seen over the last year or more our time here will likely become considerably less frequent. To say the prices are shocking is an understatement. It's become increasingly rare to find anything actually worth buying.

Loved the selection of goods here. We are working on adding a bathroom to our basement and we scored some great deals: 2 full unopened boxes of 24x12 marble-like Porcelain floor tiles for only $1 per square foot (see the picture, I think they're gorgeous!). Also a 24 inch door for only $15 (it would be over $100 new)!!!! We will be returning as our project progresses for more materials.

I believe Habitat for Humanity is a very worthwhile charity, and I'm well aware of the positive contributions they make to our communities! However, I have to say that I recently tried to donate some very useful and good quality furniture items and was told they were not interested. This was very discouraging to me - that a charity won't accept a charitable donation. The furniture items ended up in the landfill, as I wasn't able to donate them.I fully understand that H4H can not accept every offered donation - they aren't, after all, a landfill either. BUT, when you're offered good quality items that most household in need would want, it seems foolish to turn them down. At the very least, accept the donation and spend some time trying to find a home for them. This would be a win-win, as you might fill the need of a family in need, and also divert useful items from going to the landfill.

Ok collection. Prices are higher even for the reasons the place is run. Mostly the same hard working low income families come here to shop too !

I just love this store! They have about everything you need for projects around your house. Building materials, light fixtures, doors, windows, bathroom fixtures, plumbing supplies, flooring, and lots of misc. hardware. Appliances, furniture, pictures and more. Used and new. Great prices! And all profits habitat for humanity. You have to see it to believe it!Just a great idea to raise money for people that need a home.

I love this store so much. Great stuff to buy or just to look around. Staff are very friendly. Store is very clean. The prices are sometimes very expensive, but its not like a dollar store. Overall, I'm very impressed with the store, and the staff that are always ready to answer questions.

the store is big.. always full and very organized. The issues: low in staff! This issue makes the receiving area full but not much going to the floor right way. Sometimes takes up to 3days but is not they fault as its all volunteers! Second issue is the price! yes it's more expensive to by from Waterloo than for example Hamilton but it's also related to the cost of the rent etc (I assumed) as Hamilton has a chipper rent costs but its a huge store so don't know why more expensive but I do know in Toronto is double the price!

Very disappointed in the direction this store has gone. I have been around building materials, appliances and most other items in these stores all my life and have a really good idea of their value. The prices are way to high. $175.00 for a 15+ year old fridge with a missing handle…are you kidding me? A lot of other items have almost new prices or the same price as when on sale. Yes, I understand this place is somewhat of a charity, but…. Other locations I have been to have for the most part have reasonable prices. Goderich has the best location I have been in.
