Most importantly, the initial Notary involved with our file did not complete our refinance transaction on time, despite being informed that we required the funds to close on another purchase. He claimed that the bank did not send him mortgage instructions, despite there being an electronic record of the instructions being sent 9 days prior to closing.After the closing deadline passed, a different Notary was assigned to our file and when we inquired about signing closing documents by video conference, since we live out of town, they informed us that it would cost an additional $250 to do so. Lastly, when the transaction closed and the funds were deposited into our account, we learned that there was a hold of 5 business days placed on the funds because the funds were not certified before deposit. This despite informing them that we needed access to the funds. I would not use this law firm again nor would I recommend them to others, especially when there other competent notaries available.

My wife and I just purchased a new home and we used PME Inter Notaires as our notary.We had two interactions with them and both were unprofessional.First, our closing date was September 10th, we arrive on the 10th to find out that the sellers wouldn't be signing until the 14th. We weren't informed before hand. My wife and I had planned to have the internet installed that weekend (on the 11th) and planned to clean the house all weekend. I'm giving two stars because the notary, Patrick, went out of his way to contact the sellers to see if they would give us access to the house for the weekend.Our second interaction came today, the 15th. I emailed the notary's assistant and asked if the keys were ready for pick up. They informed me they were. My wife went to go pick up the keys and had to wait 30 minutes for the front desk to figure out to ask my wife what her maiden name is.All in all I am displeased with the lack of communication. I am pleased with the work the notary (Patrick) did.

I hired Me Jade Berthel-Peddle for notary services. I had a very good experience. She is very professional and efficient. Compared to one other notary I contacted the service fee was less here. I would recommend. I definitely will be using their service in the future. Thank you for the great service you have provided me.

I don’t usually leave bad reviews, but this is a must. We had no choice of notary and our développer and builder use Katherine Lauzon. Literally every document we received had at least a couple of errors in it. Sometimes egregious. She definitely does not vet what she has the legal asst do. It’s stunning. Not a good experience and overpriced. I cannot in good faith recommend PME.

My wife and I executed our wills and got civilly married with Me Katherine Lauzon. She walked us through the implications our marriage would have on our assets and our obligations, verbalizing the law in words that we could understand, which was much appreciated. She further explained what our options were and the impact that each would have, helping us make an informed decision and choosing the option that was right for us. As for the wills, she asked various questions to get a sense of what we wanted and guided us throughout the process. Her service was professional and adapted to our specific needs. She was extremely responsive! I would recommend - definitely worth the price!

Stay away. By far most expensive and useless notary that I had to deal with They are there to waste your time and milk you for all you've got. Spent 30 minutes on a very basic consultation and was charged for the full hour at a ridiculous $430 rate. When I asked how much it would cost to register a corporation they wanted $1500 and a month for the process. Give me a break! it takes 2 weeks and $200 online applicaiton. You do not need these clowns. And despite these rates they cant afford a full time secretary? Just sad. It takes days to schedule an appointment. Angry not only for the waste of money but for the waste of time.

I had no choice but to use this company as it was chosen by the buyer of my house. I was rudely treated from the get go and the company made a $150,000 mistake, to which I noticed and repeatedly explained was incorrect. Patrick Botelho treated me as if I was a spoiled child trying to skirt the law, Marie-Helene was incompetent in her work and couldn't justify the incorrect withholding, it was as if no one actually works together or communicates in this firm. When the mistake was finally found, I never once received an apology from any of these individuals. In fact they stated I would be charged an interest fee if my new documents weren't signed immediately. It was only once I spoke to someone else in the financial department that I was able to speak to the GM and get an apology. I would NEVER work with this notary firm again and highly recommend you don't either.***UPDATEI found out through my accountant that they misfiled my taxes even after I repeatedly told them this was my main home and I was a resident of Canada. Come to find out they took out all the money for a non-resident and called me ignorant and not law abiding. I got a call from the CRA explaining the did it incorrectly and I had to file a bunch of documents and letters. I am still waiting for money back. Please do not use this firm.

Overall, we had a bad service experience largely due to very poor communication. They did not work with us (or our bank) in a professional manner and failed to provide full information we (and the bank) needed to buy our home in a timely manner. At the higher end of the cost spectrum, we expected more and will not be using their services again.

Pretty much what everyone else here is reviewing. I recommend staying far away from PME. I would go as far as to recommend if you are selling, include a clause that the buyer cannot use PME.I dealt with Katherine Lauzon. First she was late for the signing, during covid where I had to bring my wife and my toddler along with me. Second the paperwork brought for me to sign was riddled with errors (had to be reprinted twice) that if I didn't personally spot they would have withheld a lot more money. In particular a welcome tax on property value 200k more than what I paid for the land. The deal almost fell through when she informed the buyer that a land survey was required for the sale, when it absolutely is not for vacant land (see other reviews below with the same issue). Throughout the experience as many others have reviewed below I found them to be unapologetic, rude, bad response time. To top it all off I received an email from Katherine threatening legal action 5 months after leaving my initial review. We absolutely are allowed to leave reviews to warn others.I recommend you stay far away from this company.
