Terri Tenaud, you are mistaken. Dr Gelfand's practice is as a periodontist not as general dentist. Periodontics is the specialty of dentistry that studies supporting structures of teeth, as well as diseases and conditions that affect them. For tooth problems like cavities, go see a dentist. It's like you went to Starbucks and are complaining you did not get served a beer with peanuts.Dr Gelfand's office obtains from my general dentist X-rays that I've already had. And he reports to her his findings and plans.Dr Gelfand explains my periodontic problems in great, clear detail. His surgical skill and judgement are superb!! He is so professional!!! His team of dental hygienists and secretarial staff are unusually efficient and pleasant. It is clear how much respect they have for him and vice versa. Such a positive atmosphere in that office I have never witnessed before, ever.It is unusual but I cannot find any room for improvement.

35 minutes spent looking for a parking spot. While it may not be their responsibility, it is their problem. When I finally walked in the secretary hands me paperwork to fill out? Did you not receive this information from my dentist? Wasted my afternoon. I also have 2 insurance plans why do I have to pay $150 upfront?

I WOULDN'T give this company 1 star, nor would I recommend it to anyone! They are not in business to help clients; all they care about is Money. It's unacceptable and unprofessional the manner in which they have acted towards me. I have 100% benefits, and they still want me to pay $200.00 just to be able to book an appointment, which is unacceptable. I have explained many times that I'm a single mother with four kids and don't have these funds just to book an appointment. I have never owed anything to this periodontics. I find it disturbing and horrible that they would rather leave me in pain because I00% for the procedure. I want to warn others to prevent them from feeling how horrible I feel. Just find another place to do your procedures. This place doesn't care about their clients well-being and is very sad! I am left in pain because they care more about money than actually helping their clients. They called multiple times about me paying $200 to book, even though I made it clear my financial situation. We are living in a very tight time for everyone's household. Nobody wants to feel as though they are being intentionally treated unfairly because they are more concerned about money than helping. I DON'T RECOMMEND THIS Office to anyone. I myself will look for a new periodontist who's willing to actually help me, understands people's financial situations, and does not require a deposit just to book an appointment. They have left me feeling terrible and I want to prevent anyone else from experiencing this.

I don't recommend no one to see dr gelfand if you are coloured. They treat you like ur nobody. he and his employees is nothing more than a big JERK
