FIRMA Foreign Exchange Corporation

I have been a customer of Firma / Globlex for over 15 years. I thought I was getting a good rate as I buy 3 to 5 times a month. On Aug 16 2022, I called in to buy $40000.00 USD.Alex was not in that day I was put thru to Annie. She said the dollar was rising. She booked the money and said the rate was 131.82 = $52,743.00. I said it seems a little high. When I took the paperwork to my accounting department they informed me a new company had called and wanted to give a rate to buy USD. I called him and was given the rate of 128.87 = $51,548.00, that is $1195.00 less than Firma. I called Annie to let her know she made a mistake on my transaction. She said she never made a mistake. I told her the rate was 2.95% higher or $1195.00 difference. I told her I wanted to cancel the transaction. She said she didn’t think she could cancel. Annie asked if I had an account with the new company and I said no. She said too bad you could not have bought the money without an account. I asked her if it was OK to overcharge me, she said no and put me on hold over 15 minutes. Then Steve came on the line to say Annie had forgot to change screens from Aussie money to USD, so she sold me Aussie money and billed me in USD funds then to Canadian funds? If we bought Aussie money it would bill me in Canadian funds not USD. Nice try Steve.Steve redid my transaction at the right rate of 128.87. I had my past transactions checked against the market place to find out Firma has been higher than most Companies in the market place. The same situation happened 6 years ago. Steve told me the error was because the screen was not changed and it was in Euro dollars.Alex calls me about 3 times a month. Since August 16/22 I have had no calls.He knows he caught with his hand in the cookie jar and its over.We now have shifted to two companies to give us the USD rate. This way we will get an honest rate and not pay a higher percent charge like Alex was doing.

They do not exchange currency
