Delcor Construction Ltd

My review is from the perspective of the next door neighbour. As an affected party, I had concerns with my next door neighbour's project under the Drainage Bylaw. Delcor was caught in the middle, to some extent, and handled that very difficult position well for the most part. The one exception is that I was told at one point that they would use a transition to bring down the height of the concrete in response to my concerns, and they did not execute on this commitment. When it was finished it was the full foot above grade. However, the primary purpose of this review is to make future customers aware of the verbal abuse that I encountered from several of the subcontractors hired by Delcor over the last week (project spanned four days). I was ridiculed (you don't know how it works")

Delcor is one of the best companies we have had the pleasure of working with! Very organized, impeccable workmanship and always leave a clean site when they are done. Can't say enough good things about this company and their people.

I contacted Delcor by way of a referral I received from a home renovator and I am so glad I did! I know nothing about concrete pathways and installation except I was told it was really expensive". I worked with Mario and Marco and they took care of me from day 1 and answered all my questions- it was truly an awesome experience. Mario had someone come out and quote my 1950's front pathway and it was a very reasonable price. The team also gave me some advice on the best design tactic for my home. I ended up extended the project to include a patio area and also took out my old 1950's steps (originally was just going to build a new pathway). I chose grey aggregate concrete patio

These guys show up early, work hard all day and get quality results. They are professional, honest and do a great job of communicating. Very engaged in what they do.

Mario and his team did an amazing job on the exposed aggregate sidewalks they did for us at the end of May 2022. They were organized, timely, and did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend this company.

We recently had DelCor provide us with new front steps, a path to the sidewalk, and steps into our backyard.I would highly recommend this company. What I like best about the men who came to our home was that they worked really hard and practically “whistled while they work”. UPDATE TO REVIEW: Upon seeing the 1 star review left, the owner, Mario called me direct to rectify the situation and followed through on his solution. I have updated to a 3 star (neutral) review based on his understanding and good judgment to do the right thing. Too bad his staff didn't take the same approach to the situation to begin with. It's nice to see the business owner take the satisfaction (or dissatisfaction) of those that are directly or indirectly involved with their projects seriously.Original Review: Everyone makes mistakes, things happen. It's how you deal with those mistakes and the people involved that matter. This company doesn't seem to understand that. They made a mistake, I'm sure it wasn't intentional or malicious but they refuse to take ownership of it. When it was pointed out to them they became aggressive, abrasive and outright refused to offer a solution. A company that won't stand behind their work, job site, and sub trades is one to steer clear of. I'd highly recommend avoiding Delcor Construction and going with an honest, credible company that takes pride in their work and takes responsibility for it's employees/contractors actions.

I cannot say enough about Mario and his team over at Delcor. They were thorough, professional and punctual. We had a couple of issues with the concrete around our pool (not their fault) and they fixed them up and made it beautiful. Mario knows his craft and was so easy to deal with. We would certainly use them again for any future concrete needs.
