Global Journeys Educational Travel

Global Journeys provided an amazing educational experience for my daughter. The organization is thorough and professional and student wellbeing is always a top priority. As well, the learning experience was extraordinary. The teachers were outstanding, and of course, learning biology in the rainforest couldn't be beat! Overall, I highly recommend Global Journeys.

My son went on the Italy/Malta trip this summer to complete his grade 12 English credit. From the minute we met Lisa at the information meeting I knew Global Journeys was the way to go. Now that he is home I can confidently say that we made the right choice. The staff was incredible (both office staff and teachers), the education was right on ......challenging, yet enjoyable, and the experience he had cannot be described. Thank you Global Journeys! Looking forward to sending another child in two years!

My trip with Global Journeys was the experience of a lifetime! The teachers were so dedicated to our small group of students and truly made the city our classroom every single day. Learning about english or ancient history while in Rome, Florence, and Malta was something that a traditional classroom could not provide as you are able to completely immerse yourselves in the surroundings and incorporate it into lessons every day. Additionally, having the opportunity to travel abroad allows students to gain an unparalelled appreciation and understanding for other cultures, both historical and present, that you cannot get just by reading a textbook. The program was so well organization and the staff/teachers were amazing so I would highly recommend Global Journeys to any students in high school! You won't regret it!

My experience with Global Journeys was incredible. I got my Gr.11 Biology credit while studying and exploring in Costa Rica! Waking up in the rainforest, going on daily hikes, visiting waterfalls, zip-lining and spending the day at the hot springs are just some of the high lights I had with Global Journeys. The learning environment was also spectacular. All of our classes were held at a research centre in Costa Rica, which had all the supplies needed for me to succeed. I learned so much on the on line portion of the course which was 2 weeks before the trip. The teacher was so amazing and gave face time lessons. This was my most favourite course I have ever taken. Thank you Global Journeys for providing me with a trip of a lifetime!!!

Where can I start? This experience was amazing - getting to see the world and study at the same time. Prior to the trip, I was worried about the study/travel balance but I never felt overwhelmed or that at any point I was stressed trying to hand in assignments or study for tests. School never interfered with my enjoyment of travelling. Both teachers were incredible, and the small group of us got along well and had a great time! Global Journeys was very organised and were quick to reply to any email and answer any questions we had. Worth every penny!

My daughter has done two summer educational travel trips with Global Journeys, and I can't say enough great things about the program. This is a wonderful way for kids to earn high school credits while travelling abroad, and an even better launch point into their adult life. The staff are amazing ... every detail is covered and I felt absolutely at ease with the idea that she was travelling under the supervision of responsible group leaders and teachers, and not myself! They provide high school students with an amazing opportunity to see the world while studying, and balance it all out with fun, local excursions. A wonderful way to kids to learn to be independent and open to new challenges and adventures. I only wish we had found out about this sooner, as we definitely would have done two more.

Global Journeys was an incredible experience for my son. Not only did he earn a school credit, but so much more. He came back with more self-confidence and a renewed interest in education and life. I look forward to my daughter attending Global Journeys in the next couple of years. I will be eager to see where she wants to go and to hear about her journey. My experience with the home team and the teachers is well etched in my mind. There were all great to work with and responded to my needs and enquires as they come up. Thank your for open my son's eyes to adventure and I look forward to another one soon.

My time with Global Journeys summer program was one of the highlights of my life and I left with memories that I will cherish forever. My roommate from Global Journeys is actually still my roommate today, five years into undergrad. The coordinators and teachers kept our schedule interesting and busy but never so much so that I felt overwhelmed or that I couldn't complete an assignment. Doing an English class in Europe is so much more fulfilling than in your high school classroom, I can promise you that!

I went on two of these trips (UK & Ireland 2014 and Italy & Malta 2015) and they were without a doubt the best experiences of my life. I have never been so lucky, or blessed to have such an opportunity and experience in my life. Both the travel and the class aspects of these trips are well organized, and basically perfectly executed. This was the most fun i have ever had and the most i have ever learned in such a short period of time. I am still good friends with several people from my first trip. I have even kept in contact with one of my teachers, the best teacher i have ever had. GJ is truly a life changing experience. If you can in any way afford to do this for your child DO IT
