Had a great first experience at Jabistro for my sister's birthday. We ordered uni nigiri, Aburi chef's choice, Nama - classic nigiri, Hotate carpaccio, Aburicious, and for drinks - Aka murasaki and Yuzu sunrise.Starting off with the appetizer, the Hotate carpaccio was perfectly seasoned and the sauce pulled it all together. My first time trying uni, and I really enjoyed it- it has a really refreshing taste (like the ocean). The nama platter was my favourite dish, the fish pieces were so fresh and fatty. The photo of the drinks was taken after took a few sips, and I was already feeling the effects. Highly recommend yuzu sunrise. The pressed sushi pieces were also very enjoyable and combined so well. Enjoyed all the dishes, so highly recommend this spot for your next sushi stop!The service was great and atmosphere was social.

This is very authentic and very high quality sushi. We visited it along with a Japanese friend who confirmed that the sushi lives up to the standards of sushi you’d find in Japan. The sashimi was fresh. Three of us spent 300 dollars but it was definitely worth it.

Warm and cozy atmosphere. They restaurant doesn’t have too many seating. Tried the $88 prix fixe lunch and it was delicious! The panna cotta dessert really fills you up.

If you are looking for a upscale sushi dinner, this is the place to go! The environment and service is great! The food is delicious and you are surrounded but beautiful art and cozy vibes. There is some parking across the st on Richmond so it was not too hard to find a spot. Anything Wagyu at this restaurant was so good and I highly recommend getting the Tori Nanban which was filling and very tasty!

The o-toro was delicious, best dish we had. The drinks were delicious.We had a great start to the meal with the o-toro nigiri and scallop.The other dishes we had were the wagyu and salmon sushi, the fried seasonal vegetables, and black cod, which were okay but did not particularly stand out.Overall, the meal was pretty decent

The atmosphere is sophisticated and inviting, and you'll immediately feel at home.The sushi at JaBistro is nothing short of exceptional. Each dish is expertly presented and the flavors are truly out of this world. The torched sushi, in particular, is a must-try. The combination of perfectly cooked rice and delicate, melt-in-your-mouth fish is simply divine.In addition to the fantastic sushi, the sake at JaBistro is also top-notch. Smooth and perfectly paired with the meal, it's a must-try for any sake enthusiast.But perhaps the best part of our experience at JaBistro was the service. We were there for a birthday celebration, and the staff went above and beyond to make it a special occasion. They put together a personalized platter of cakes for us and were constantly checking in on us throughout the evening, refilling our water glasses and making sure we had everything we needed.And while the price at JaBistro may be on the premium side, it's well worth the splurge for such a memorable dining experience. Overall, I can't recommend JaBistro enough. From the stunning decor to the delicious sushi and sake, and the excellent service, it truly exceeded all of our expectations. If you're in the area, be sure to pay a visit and indulge in some of the best sushi and sake you'll ever taste.

Great place for fresh authentic Japanese cuisine. On the pricier side but their pressed sushi and sushi rolls are good options for the budget conscious. For special occasions and otherwise, can’t go wrong with the prix fix menu or the sashimi/lobster platters.

We had a phenomenal omakase at JaBistro! Every course was beautifully presented and so well thought out as to have every individual item shine, while still managing to make each flavour compliment one another so perfectly. The freshness of the fish was honestly amazing — especially the salmon and tuna. The fattiest tuna had a melty texture to it that instantly had me hooked. Both cocktails we ordered were also great, and the desserts were really delicious as well! I don’t have a single thing to say about the experience that isn’t overwhelmingly positive. For the price point, I absolutely feel like the omakase here was well worth the money. I’m so glad we tried it, and I’d happily do it again in the future!
