The prices for used, second-hand, items are at least 90% of new items. There was a time when you could find the odd deal there that was pretty good. Now they are inspecting, evaluating and pricing every piece of clothing as if it's practically new. It doesn't make sense to buy used if it's not a good deal. Might as well just buy new.

Value Village was never a good place but at least it used to be cheap. They are not a charity and everything is mostly profit. They refuse donations for the most stupid reasons. They also are way over priced now, i don't know how many times ive seen an item from dollorama with the sticker still on it marking it at 2 or 3 dollars and its priced for 5 or more. I'd look past it if it was the Salvation Army or something but its not. Over Prices, Low Quality.

Great Value Village very clean and items are not damaged. Only issue is it is a bit more expensive (I find) then the Value Village on fennel and Wentworth.

Greetings to you!I have to admit that going to Value Village is as much a trip to shop as well as having a sense of entertainment to it as well. It brings back the almost childlike sense of discovery finding rooting around the store and finding rehomed treasures. We live in an age where casting off items, and sending everything working or not into the landfill. The people who have donated to reduce the needless waste, and often someone else will find a way to give the item an even more lengthy lifespan. The above aside, staff are very friendly and helpful. In fact I don't believe that my latest trip today, (17/03/2023), I can't remember seeing even one employee without a smile. I am certain that they have bad days, but there is a pleasant experience and sets a great atmosphere. I have found that the store is well kept, clean and tidy, their stock does travel to other areas but there is a high chance that like any other retailer this is caused by customers. It is difficult to actually relate existing stock because of it cycling through stock so much, and is dependent on what stock they have.Be well, stay healthy, and always let both wisdom and compassion guide you on your path.Marc

So confused how they’re getting away with these prices? 15.99$ for a “cheaply made” summer dress from forever 21? It probably wasn’t even that much brand new!! It insane what they’re asking for thing now.

Good collection sometimes for clothing or shoe etc. huge market for low budget shopping. Boon for new comers in Canada. Antique things here are amazing

The store had many great finds that were reasonably priced. But I have to only give you 2 out of 5 because the public washrooms were disgusting. IT WAS Only 11 am on a Sunday...The manager did see the condition when a locked door was open for me to use the Handicap Facilities.I was there untill past 1:30pm and saddly they were never addressed.Sorry dirty restrooms....dirty store.Just unacceptable.....

It got so expensive to shop second hand here. Some deals are there but seeing a good price is rare. The prices for these items for example are higher than some antique stories where the item has been cleaned and tested, in better condition, and they didn't get it for free. Many electronics that they haven't tested are being sold for lots of money and many you can't test until you get home and they're final sale, so if it doesn't work, you're stuck with it. Also they price fast fashion brands like Zara, Shein, h&m, Forever 21, American Eagle, and WalMart brands like they're designer goods.

They have a good selection usually, but their prices on some stuff are just ridiculous. Especially the stuff in the display cases like video games and computer components. They're usually either almost the same price as new retail, or even more expensive than new retail. How do you charge $180 for a second hand knock-off Sega Genesis?
