Booked an appointment for a basement reno, all excited as finally able to get the basement finished. Dmitry asked about sqft, plans and budget, which we responded. Dmitry responded saying that was not realistic and gave us an estimate of what it would really cost. We said ok and looked forward to still meeting and discussing options and guidance. Only to get an email that the amount we had to spend was too little and that he would not be coming again.So disappointed as we chose HTR Basements because of the high rating on BBB.Guess this company only takes big money projects.

When it comes to basement finishing and basement ideas, this company is outstanding. My kids love our new finished basement with their very own play area. I could not have asked for a better company to help me with my basement remodeling or to provide me with wonderful basement ideas.

We had HTR provide a quote as a 3rd contractor for our basement to compare in January 2020. They were by far the best price, provided exceptional quality and service throughout the entire project, and had completed our basement in less than 3 weeks from the date of dropping off materials (less than their estimated timeline). The quoting process was the simplest as they had a quote to us on the spot when measuring the basement, and even provided line item prices so there were no surprises if we wanted to add or change anything during the project. Their transparency allowed us to make small changes and budget properly. Payments were made in stages as work was completed and the owner had checked in various times to ensure we were happy with the workmanship and any issues were resolved immediately. An Electrical Safety Authority certificate of inspection was provided for insurance purposes, and HTR had certified contractors for all stages of the project. Any scuffs or marks to the wall on our main level were fixed, and cleaners came in on the last day to ensure the basement was cleaned prior to completion. I will be using them for any future projects and cannot thank the team enough. They went above and beyond and surpassed our expectations.

HTR Basements handled the basement finishing aspect of our renovation. And while our basement was small there were aspects of it that were certainly not simple. HTR provided us with an impressive 3d rendering of what our basement would look like well in advance of our start date, this required immense creativity because at the time our basement wasn't even underpinned (looked like a troll's dungeon). During the project, everything was smooth -- all the various trades people were pleasant, efficient and very hardworking. They finished in accordance with an online schedule that listed start and end dates for each trade. Their price was inline with my expectations (some of the prices I received from other companies were absolutely ridiculous for a basement of my size). Happy we hired HTR Basements - you will be too. Highly recommended. I will be hiring HTR for future projects around my home.
