This was our first time trying Mazesoba. We both had the Zenbu Mazesoba(signature spicy). The sauce was oh so creamy with the onsen egg. We ❤️ it! The soothing, hot green tea really complements our meal. Ended up getting the ice cream with banana spring roll dessert ( delicious!) . We spoke with the lovely owner, Paula and heard there will be some new delicious offerings in March. Will be coming back again definitely with friends to try other menu items and the new offerings!

We’ve been back a few times already. I normally get the Megumi. Good sized charsui pork. One soft boiled egg cooked perfectly. One onsen egg that turns into a delicious sauce when mixed.I switch between Very Spicy and Insane which should only be for those that can handle their spice! The mazesoba experience includes taking all of the goodness that remains after the noodles and mixing it with rice for a second dining experience!Polished it off as alway, and am a “good full” even as a fairly big eater. Will definitely be back!If you like flavourful food and noodles then you should try this!

Highly recommend this restaurant! Not only are the noodles absolutely delicious (our favs are the steak and karaage), but we also love their dessert -- banana spring rolls with ice-cream. They now also offer lattes in their drinks menu - I would strongly recommend the Hojicha latte. Very kids-friendly place as well -- very flexible in customizing the ingredients in each bowl. Will definitely come back to this restaurant more often!

Today was my first time coming to Megumi Mazesoba, and make no mistake, it won’t be my last! From the moment I walked in, I was amazed by the ambiance of the establishment and how it was designed, then I was greeted humbly by Paula as I entered, and Steven from the kitchen then after. I ordered the house special and between the thin noodles with meat and egg and other ingredients, along with the white rice that came with it after to scoop up the rest of the sauce, I have to say that I was incredibly satisfied with my meal. Broth-less Ramen in my modest opinion is really underrated, and this Ramen Establishment along St. Clair East is one I would recommend hold heartedly. Thank you for the wonderful experience, it was worth every dollar.UPDATE:Megumi Mazesoba was so good the last time I was there [the day before] that I had to come back again to order the same signature dish, (only this time with udon noodles). This style of noodle reminds me of the homemade style of pasta, my paternal grandmother used to make, which made the experience all the more worthwhile! Thanks again Paula and Audrey (from the kitchen) for great food, great service, and for once again, welcoming me back into the humbling and modest ambiance of your establishment!!!

Came here for a quick casual dinner. Was interested in trying mazesoba, which is a brothless ramen.I ordered the original mazesoba (insane level spicy) and also a side of chicken karaage.Pros: there was the option of choosing between thin ramen noodles and thick udog noodles. I ended up going with the udog noodles, which were thick and soft, with some chew. I really appreciated the option to do an insane level of spiciness and their sauce was actually made with FRESH peppers (not just extra dried chili flakes or vinegary hot sauce). It was actually very spicy and I was panting very hard, I had to lap up a whole bowl of water, but the taste was good! (Would only recommend this level if you are okay with being a very HOT dog afterwards!)Cons: the karaage was just okay, it wasn’t that hot when it came out (only lukewarm) and it needed to be seasoned more. Would have also preferred if there was more ground meat or larger chunks of meat in the noodle bowl, because they kind of got lost once everything was mixed together.Overall, a good option for a quick, filling and pretty inexpensive meal.4 woofs out of 5.

I have lots of experience eating Japanese cuisine, especially ramen. Though this isn't technically ramen, the style is similar in the sense that it is a bowl of noodles with various sauces and toppings. The flavours of the dishes are very balanced, one spice does not overpower the other. They allow the dish to speak for itself. Appearance wise, it's very neat, not too complex, but not too simple. It's indicative of a chef that is confident in their food, and it really shows when you eat it. Atmosphere wise, it is very relaxing. You do not feel too rushed to finish your meal, and the layout of the building coupled with the relaxing music really compliments the taste of the food quite well. The owner is also quite friendly and is happy to help anyone who may be confused in regards to how to eat Mazesoba, being how it is such a new dish for most in Canada. Overall, great experience, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to try something new or step outside their comfort zone.
