We went put for two days with Dean. What an amazing experience. My wife, son and daughter were all there on separate days and our friends and their daughter.I can say that between the fish caught, the scenery and how much fun we all had chatting with Dean, the experience will last a lifetime.If you have kids - like us - you will have so much fun. Bring your friends, alternate who goes on the boat each day if you have more than 6 people, and create memories that will last a lifetime.I can't imagine having a better time - truthfully.

Dean is fantastic. He is a great educator and is exceptional with children.I can't wait to go again in a couple of weeks.One of the cleanest fishing boats i have seen.

Amazing fishing experience with Dean for the first timer. Knowledgeable, easy approach and well planned. Caught 2 big kings!! Also Surprise whales encounter!

Where to start?! As a Campbell River local it blew my mind seeing as much as we did in just a few hours, all right in my own backyard. Dean was super knowledgeable, easily answering all our questions and explaining our unique ecosystem. He respects the wildlife and kept the boat close enough to see but not too close as to stress the animals out. We were able to enjoy cruising along side a family of transient Orcas, countless humpbacks - one breaching completely out of the water-, seals, birds and even we got to catch some fish. It doesn’t get much better than a day of laughter and good chat while out on the water enjoying our amazing home.

This was a highlight of our entire trip to the west coast. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a great experience. The boat was clean, organized, well equipped. Captain Dean was great and extremely helpful, made sure everyone on the boat had a great time. The finishing was lots of fun, great family outing.

My Wife and I booked a morning trip for Salmon with 50 North while visiting Campbell River for a few days. We researched the local tour guides and really liked what 50 North was about and what they offered.When we arrived at the Marina and met Dean, the first thing I noticed was how impeccable his boat was. I can say I have not been on a cleaner and more well organized boat.We headed out and had the privilege of seeing numerous humpbacks breaching, bald eagles and seals while getting to our fishing spot.The reels and rods that 50 North provides is top tier, using a light weight rod with 1:1 reel really made the experience that much more enjoyable when we hooked a fish. Dean had us into the salmon quickly and we caught some beautiful springs. He knew exactly where to go and you can tell he loves what he does.We will be back again and would highly recommend 50 North to everyone. Thanks for a fantastic day!!!

Finally after 3 years (Covid) we did our trip at 50North Adventures. We did a lot of homework" before choosing whom we were going to do the Whales trip with. Well It was awesome! We saw the Whales! Dean is an excellent "driver". His boat is very nice and you can see he loves and respect the whales! Not a boot full of people and that was what we wanted! If you want an excellent guide

Last weekend I went fishing in Campbell river with my wife for a birthday weekend getaway. I did lots of research and landed on 50 North Adventures for many reasons. But the main reason was I loved Deans story on his website and we both agreed it was someone we wanted to support. This turned out to be a great decision!! Dean was professional and his boat is spotless. We had a great day and enjoyed at one point 18+ humpbacks in our area with spouts going off In the distance like mini geysers everywhere. We had glorious weather and put some salmon in the boat too. But that wasn’t the best part. Our favorite part was listening to Dean tell us stories with enthusiasm about what Campbell River has to offer the world. His passion for the area and desire to be an active participant in shaping the future. We shared a lot of great laughs, stories, and both feel like we have a new friend in our lives.
