I was pleased to hear some time back that Metal Experts had moved into Sherwood Park. I am a journeyman carpenter, and because I try to shop locally, have dealt with this company in the past. Last week I had them give me a quote on their Tuff Rib metal roofing for my barn roof. The quote came in at a little over $8,700.I decided this time to get other quotes, and the one I received from Versaframe was less than $6,800 tax in for exactly the same material. I approached Metal Experts with my new quote, explaining how much more metal I needed in the future, and as happens usually, expected them to match the lower quote.Not even close! They not only did not reduce the price, they suggested I just let it go this time, and they would see what they could do on my next order. For about $2,000 difference, I don,t think so!!So you expect a company to move into your community, so they can provide a service to the community. I don,t think that was their line of thinking at all. I think they know that as an affluent community, they can come in and take advantage of it. Well you got caught gouging Metal Experts, and me for one won,t take it!Folks, give Versaframe in Nisku a call. Not only are they very helpful and knowledgable, but their prices are significantly lower as well. About 25% in my caseMetal Experts, keep up the gouging and you won,t be welcome here in Sherwood Park!Robert Storimans.Thanks for your response Lisa. So the colony themselves disproved your comments about them not paying taxes, and Versaframe, like Metal Experts also has a 40 year warranty on the paint. Those were your 2 reasons for your metal costing more. Now what my quote was done by your people, and the exact same quote was done by Versaframe and it was $2,000 cheaper at Versaframe. HOW DO YOU JUSTIFY THAT TO THE PEOPLE OF STRATHCONA COUNTY?

regarding the fact that hutterites dont pay taxes ,,,,,this is a false accusation ..hutteriters pay more taxes then the average individual .find a better reason for ur over priced metal

Called around for a few quotes for 16,000 sqft of metal cladding/roofing on a friday afternoon at 3:45. First call was metal experts, The person who answered the phone said “ everyone has went home or is busy can you call back on Monday” they never asked for my contact info or gave me a salespersons voicemail. I called two other companies after and had zero issues speaking to a salesperson. Metal experts? I guess we will never now but your definitely not customer service experts.

The product is good. The company not so much. Called the company based in Sherwood Park as per Google. My house is in Onoway, about 1.5 hrs away. Drove to the show room and ordered what I needed. Paid the bill in full. I installed my roof. Found out a week later that I could have got it from my local Onoway Timbrmart for 20% less. No one at their office recommended it, though the address was on the order form. I paid the full delivery cost for the distance from Sherwood Park instead of from a yard five minutes from my house. I thought that by buying direct I would avoid some markup, instead their dealers sell their product cheaper than them. While it was my fault for not doing enough research before buying, this shows a complete willful blindness of the parent company to not help their customers for their own profit. I spent $12k on my roof and could have done it for $10k. Go find another company, one that is actually helpful, or make sure you do your due diligence yourself, because this company won't.

I bought some garage door trims here, got help from Jason and Peter. I was very happy with their services. They were very patient and professional.

Found this location on Google maps, when I called in for some fascia metal, which is a pretty ordinary product in this market, I was dismissively told by the guy that this is corporate office" and they don't have anything or stock anything....Well maybe you should change your Google presence to reflect that so we don't have to waste your time by calling in as a cash customer..."

What a terrible place to deal with .Customer service is horrible .Ken ames should be fired.I was very happy when a local roofing supply company came into Sherwood Park.its nice to support local, but not these guys .I guarentee I will never spend another dollar there again!.I hope they go out of business! Please do your research and do not buy from them! You will regret it !
