Cardinal / Ottawa South KOA Holiday

I had a wonderful time with my loved ones creating precious memories. There were plenty of activities to enjoy with the kids, and the staff was incredibly friendly. I highly recommend it as an excellent place to stay.

This KOA was great. The staff was SUPER. They were all friendly and accommodating. The pool was a life saver during the heat wave. The kids activities were well planned and executed. Thank you

Had a great weekend. There are lots of things for the kids/family to do and enjoy. We had read that the staff was very strict with the rules, and that was fine. The only rule that was odd, was campfires out, by 12. Not an issue for most people with kids/family, definitely not an issue for us. The park is actually closer to a five star, but some of the things were a bit run down, like the enclosed play structure. While there, we had such a good time, we did book again for a weekend, later this year.

This place is not recommended. It’s in need of lots repair. No sewer hookup. You must stay for a minimum of 5 night to get a free pump out. That’s BS as they charge per night the same as any other KOA that offers full hookups. $90 per night without sewer. Last was less. Don’t try and leave on a weekend. Only one dump station and it’s a nightmare! This is a new owner. Staff aren’t overly friendly. I’ve been to other KOA’s with much better family activities.Park is not kept up. Could use better grass cutting especially at the events tent, paint, pool liner on its last legs, very little in regards to flowers or shrubs. You really get the same services down the rd at the provincial park for less money and more value. I did speak with the owner about my concerns although he couldn’t care a less. Maybe a dozen transient campers in the park. Says a lot when it’s high season.

A little bit of everything makes it all worthwhile. Good staff, solid check in/check out process, firewood delivered. Great pizza too!

Very nice campground, love the tall pines and trees that provide partial shade from full summer sun (like a light canopy) without making it dark underneath. Lots to do for the kids, fun theme days and activities. Spots are a bit narrow for the price we paid but overall a lovely experience and helpful staff

Unfortunately, I can't give it a 5 star. Everything was nice and clean, lots of shade which was nice since last weekend was 34°C+++. There's nothing to justify the cost of $95+GST per night imo. Also, they don't have waste connections on their site, either you take your trailer to the entrance to empty, or pay $14 to have them come and do it for you. For those reasons, I can't give it more than 3 stars!* If it wasn't from the price, I would probably go back a few times a year whenever I don't feel like driving more than 1hour to go camping.

We just spent the weekend camping here. The kids loved all that activities and were playing/ making friends the entire time. The washrooms were clean, and service that we had was friendly and helpful. The sites are very close together, but the neighbors we had were friendly. We would return to this location. There is mini putt, pedal bikes, heated pool, splash pad, park and climbing structure. Some of the activities included, foam party, big water slide, bingo, and movie night.

It was our first time camping at a KOA as a family with a young child. We normally go to provincial parks. Let me say this was an amazing experience. The activities they do are well planned and fun, the pool, parks, bike rentals, splash pad, and jumpers do a great job at keeping kids busy. No complaints. Nice staff. We will be back!!

This campground is very clean and well maintained. In July 2022 we stayed in a Lodge style cabin that was spacious, well laid out and very clean. We had a large front deck with BBQ and fire pit. Lots of beautiful trees. There are a lot of things for the children to do and the wifi was very good as well (I was able to work on the front porch!) The staff were very friendly and hard working, everything was well thought out.
