Express Appliance Repair

For the last six years, I’ve been using Express Repair Appliances for different appliances problem. Dishwashers washing machines, dryers,etc.Orel has been my repair technician since. His professionalism, integrity, explanations concerning the problem and solutions, makes him a person that any customers can rely on for an adequate resolution of their problems. I paid for one of their technicians come diagnose my washer, he told me it was broken and needed a new drum (essentially a new washer). I got a 2nd opinion and it was the motor sensor (very common on LG) which was replaced for $50.The company won’t refund me the charges for the washer mis diagnosis.Update: despite the response below and multiple emails/calls, they still have not addressed this. I keep getting the generic response of “we will look into this”. Absolutely terrible customer service.

I highly recommend Orel at Express Appliance Repair.For more than 2 years now we have had a problem with our Fisher & Paykel fridge beeping every time the door is opened. We’ve had 4 different repairmen out to look at it, with no success.One repairman did identify the possible problem and part needed but couldn’t get it due to supply issues & back order. We eventually obtained & sourced the part but the repairman did not return our calls (probably just too busy). The other 3 repairmen looked at our fridge but didn’t know where to start.We had resigned ourselves to the only resolution being replacing an otherwise perfectly functioning fridge.We decided to try one more repair company before going fridge shopping.So on Christmas night my husband e-mailed Express Appliance Repair and to his surprise, immediately received a response by phone to schedule an appointment for this morning.Long and short of it- problem was identified, part we had on hand was the correct one and immediately installed. We now, after 2 long years, have a properly functioning fridge!I am so happy that we will have to find something else to do today instead of fridge shopping!

Absolutely the worst company to deal with. We were told the parts needed to service our microwave range hood were available at the warehouse and would be in within 1-2 weeks. That was in October and as of today...January 24th, they still have not serviced our appliance. Each time we have called to follow up we're told they're coming in next week. Their customer service is non-existent. We have been told on multiple occasions, that we will get a call back that day and no one ever calls back. When we tried to escalate to a supervisor, we are told they will call us back, which takes days. I finally get to speak with a supervisor today, Michelle, and ask to cancel our order. We agreed to pay for the initial service call but they refuse to give us a refund on the restocking fees". Even though there are no parts to restock and that was never explained to us before they took our deposit! I asked to escalate again and was told the next person is the owner

Alex was great! He helped diagnose my range hood issue and came up with a suitable fix for my very cheap range hood. Much appreciated. :)

Express repair sent a technician on the same I called them. They had diagnosed that the compressor in our fridge was dead and needs to be replaced, which seemed odd to us since the fridge is almost brand new (1 year old). We decided to call someone else to take a look at it and to our surprise, the problem was much easier than what we have been told. The fan in the back of the freezer was not working so the technician replaced it with a new one. Since then, the fridge and the freezer were back to normal.Not the quality of service we expected from express repair. Wouldn't recommend them and won't be needing their services in the future.

I had an issue with my dryer not working. I called them for a diagnostic which they did and found the issue with the power buttons.There were a few things I did not like about their overall service-1. The technician quoted $265 + tax + $450 parts for replacing 2 buttons on a $500 dryer which seemed very high to me. He said even if it would take 2 mins to change the buttons, there is no change in the price.2. He also tried to charge me 15.4% tax on top of the $99 diagnostic fee. When I said that the tax is 13% in Ontario, and not 15.4%, he tried to make excuses saying it's a new law in Toronto since the company is based there, so I will have to pay 15.4% only.When I asked him to show me details about this new 'law', he automatically changed it back to 13%.It looked like a company tactic to rip-off more, or maybe he just didn't know. I think he added the 2.4% credit card surchage even though I was paying via interac.

Service appointment was quick even considering the Christmas period. The technician, Orel, was knowledgeable and systematic and successfully identified the problem. A replacement part was ordered and installed in reasonable time. Orel was very pleasant and respectful. The service cost was competitive and acceptable. I definitely recommend Express Appliance Repair!

I am not giving this company 5 stars because they did a great job repairing my dishwasher. I am giving them 5 stars because rather than attempting a fix that may not work and billing me for it, the tech gave me an honest assessment that a new appliance would be a better choice. There are a lot of people out there that would have happily taken the money and not given such sound advice. I will look to these guys first whenever I have an appliance issue.
