Outstanding service, atmosphere and food! I really can’t wait to go again, since I was able to attend the friends and family pre-opening event. The wine menu is insane, and they even have a sommelier to help with wine choices. We had the “Bicycle Thief” mocktail which was yummy and refreshing!For apps we had the nigiri set, albacore tuna and the lobster tacos which were AMAZING!!!! We all agreed the tacos were just so simple but so full of lobster and guacamole. Does not skimp out at all on the good parts; I could just eat those all day!For mains we had crusted chicken, striped bass and pea agnolotti. The bass was my favourite, which was super crispy and tasty.For the desserts, the passion fruit was a fun twist on crème caramel, but the verrine was great for people who don’t like super sweet. The pistachio cake chunks were yummy!!!Good location, in downtown Vic, the patio looks nice and lots of seating. Paid road parking on Cormorant St or Johnson St.The only thing I’d say is the tables are a bit small so multiple dishes to share can get a bit cramped with drinks.When I go back I’m gonna try the 48hr short ribs and more tacos!!!! Great job to Chef Kristian and the rest of the team. :)

After much anticipation... Great atmosphere, impressive bar and wine list, well appointed throughout. Had the steelhead and beef tenderloin, both terrific. Currently only serving dinner. Very accommodating of allergies. Rode home by bike. Give it a try!

What a spectacular restaurant! We were fortunate enough to enjoy a fabulous evening with friends here and it didn’t disappoint. The food was excellent and the menu extensive to suit any palate. The decor is truly gorgeous! Many thanks to Andrea D for amazing service. I’m very much looking forward to returning with friends, family and my real estate clients! Keep doing what you’re doing - it’s working!

This place is exactly what Victoria has been missing. Exquisite food and service. Immaculate drinks. Our sommelier had extensive knowledge on the elaborate wine menu. Everything we had was divine. I cannot recommend this place enough. Easily the best restaurant in Victoria.

We had a good time and enjoyed the service, food and our experience. My friends enjoyed the food more than I did. The tuna goma-ae was un-seasoned/undressed (maybe a mistake?) except for the dressings in the bottom of the dish which tasted like every other goma-ae I've ever had. It lacked flavour and originality aside from the spinach being in a different shape. The drinks had too much ice, so tasted watered down/ could not taste the alcohol. They were pretty though. The hostess didn't smile when we walked in and checked our reservation. She didn't smile at us or speak to us as we left either, except to tell us to get out of the way so other people could come in. The location of the hostess station and lack of space in the entry/exit way and one revolving door for people to enter/exit through makes coming and going awkward. The service was excellent (our waiter John was knowledgeable about the food in a non-pretentious way, and friendly/had a sense of humour. Our main courses came out too fast, like immediately. It would have been nicer to have a few minutes to visit before eating our mains. The food presentation was very nice. The room is stylish and upscale. It feels like casual Westcoast fine-dining. Most things on the menu seem over priced for what you get in terms of flavours. If flavours had been exceptional or original, the cost would have been ok, but they were not. I was expecting/hoping for some originality in the flavours department but really was not super impressed by anything I tasted. Also, it was very nice that Ben came across the street to let us know he called us another cab because the one her originally called was not showing up for us.

We had an amazing time in all the ways. I loved the chic decor and overall vibe-y-ness.We had the prawns with peppers, crispy roll, the bass and the short rib, Brussels sprouts and broccolini. They were all great.We got served by Ester and the service was super on point. It felt like all the details were taken care of. Seemed like the whole crew was dialled in.What a special place !!

Great vibe and atmosphere. Service was great although you could tell our server was still learning. Sake and wine were excellent, sommelier recommendations were on point. Octopus and pork belly were to die for. Aburi and oysters were perfect.Sashimi and cocktails were only decent — much preferred the wine and aburi.

It really was special. The room was glistening with a patina unexpected in a new restaurant. The team was caring, alert and proficient. The food was outstanding. Beverage list was comprehensive; selection assistance was learned. Overall, delicious and exceptional.
