La Goélette à Pépé Café

Such a gem on Isle Madame! We got sandwiches and chowder to take for our picnic at the lighthouse. The food was delicious and the staff were lovely. We didn’t take advantage of it ourselves, but there is a nice bit of outdoor seating as well. Highly recommend!

I'm not that familiar with the area, but have been by La Goélette a couple times recently, and it really is a cool little spot. Do yourself a favor and sit in for your coffee and snack, there's a lot of cool local history in the dining area. The staff are all very friendly, coffee is great, and they have a good selection of baked goods. Don't let the fact that it's also a gas station fool you - it really is a great little Cafe.

Your little gas station cafe would be worth a drive to if your staff weren’t so incredibly rude with the worst attitude all around. I heard you say “oh, here we go” from the back room when the guy who was unable to list your cookie ingredients told you someone had a question about it. Did you think no one could hear you? I have no idea why would you have such an attitude about someone caring to ask what they just bought was made with?!!! You do know it’s legally required that you list/provide ingredients when asked even if you think you think it’s not an obligation to sell food. It is.The counter guy expected me to be satisfied with saying it’s probably just the usual ingredients after I told him I was asking to see if I could give my dog outside a piece without killing him. Turns out Kraft peanut butter was used and that is not on the safe list… so yeah I am very happy I cared enough about by beloved dog to ask first, but honestly how unfortunate it was treated like a bother from you. Your young counter guy was rude from the first nice hello greeting I gave him waking in. He did not even reply. Just looked at me with a blank stare. After my husband came in before me and bought lunch and I bought snacks and more not even one thank you. At least one friendly young woman from the back was able to tell me if the iced tea was caffeinated or not. How disappointing after driving over an hour just to go to your cafe. Your attitude today from both of you was extremely poor. PSA for anyone reading this - most peanuts butters that are not 100% peanut have artificial additives that are toxic for dogs. Many have xylitol which is highly toxic, and Kraft had maltodextrin which is not good either. Not great for humans either but sadly quite common. The cookies at this cafe are also made with margarine ..which is why it was tossed in the garbage after hearing that.Kraft PB Ingredients: SELECT ROASTED PEANUTS, SOYBEAN OIL, SUGARS (CORN MALTODEXTRIN, SUGAR), HYDROGENATED VEGETABLE OIL (COTTONSEED AND RAPESEED OIL), SALT, MONO- AND DIGLYCERIDES.

Had a lovely stop here. Fantastic coffee and the cakes are just delicious. Friendly service and a clean toilet. Don't be put off by the gas station, this is a little treasure if you want a good coffee and a cake. We detoured from our trip in hope of a good coffee and are very happy with the results. There is a nice little seating area outside as well as a seating area inside.

Cozy decor, amazing homemade oatmeal jam cookies (my husbands favourite), and cinnamon roll (my favourite). Got two bars of handmade lavender soaps as well, very reasonable price (4$ each), they smell amazing. It’s great to find some local artisan crafts. Excellent wifi service & super clean washroom. Highly recommended

I think the girls are absolutely fabulous friendly kind service. Every time you walk in the door I highly recommend Them.

THIS PLACE IS BY FAR THE BEST FOOD ON ILE MADAME! BEST COFFEE BY FAR, BEST FOOD BY FAR, COZIEST ATMOSPHERE BY VERY FAR!Really the only place I buy made food at in the area - an absolute hidden gem, you wouldn't expect the local Gas Station to double as THE BEST COFFE SHOP (they roast their own beans) AND BY FAR THE BEST RESTAURANT AROUND!They have specials sometimes, but every day there is good food there - especially for vegetarians which around here, there is not much in those types of options11/10 - an absolute hidden gem!!!

Stopped in by chance. Glad we did. Coffee was was excellent. Med roast, great flavor. Very friendly service. The baked goods are to die for. This is a must stop.
