Student Life Centre

SLC happens to be the main hub for the University of Waterloo students. Whether it's grabbing lunch, a quick snack from Tim Horton's, studying for exams, buying used books, or just hanging out and about, this is that place. Currently it's going through construction so the back area is inaccessible. However, people can still eat and study on any of the three or four floors. Overall, it's a decent place, but usually busy during the week and hard to find a place to sit sometimes.

Great indoor place to buy food and hang out. Can get quite noisy and crowded around lunch time though... There's a Subway, a Mexican eatery, sandwiches, pizza, a Tim Hortons across the hallway in the adjacent building and a convenience store near Tim. There's a pretty good used book store, a dental clinic & pharmacy and a UW book store too, that's not to mention a CIBC bank that's open until 6 PM on some days :) and a place to buy tickets for intercity transport!! These all add up to a very useful square of the uni itself... It only lacks a bit of modernization, some of the walkways in the basement level are rather dingy, but I its getting a facelift very soon...

Love this building, sometimes walking in with surprises. Tons of activities and events going each month. And has lots places to eat. I haven’t fully explore this place and never been to the second floor. A bit curious what’s up there. Not really a quite place for studying but a nice place to have some snacks and relax with friends for me.

Essentially a home away from home for students who are involved in student service or club activities. Good place to chill and wait, buy food, microwave food, or do banking. Federation of students offer a variety of services that are useful to the students. The building also has a campus tech shop, pharmacy, silent study room, and prayer rooms.

Fun area to hang out! They do the poster show here a few times a year, there's a fudge place that comes in and a few other kiosks that sell things every so often. Entrance to the school bar, the Bomber, is here. Lots of seating but always busy. There is a little convenience shop and also a Timmies. You can rent meeting rooms here and they give you the key. IMPRINT, the student newspaper, used to be here as well. There are multiple floors. Student graduation pictures are taken downstairs in the LifeTouch? studio. The used book store is downstairs as well. This building connects to the PAC/gym so you can use the bridge walkway if there is bad weather.

It's that place you visit to obtain or recharge your transit pass. Great campus food destination too.

I been coming here every Friday at night to breakdance with the University dancers, the community is really great and always is the best atmosphere. They have a convenience store as well as subway, bubble tea and Tim Hortons, love this place to bits, find us dancing at night in the lower atrium, bring your friends :)

Great selection of food available. Not much seating during the busy times. The new remodeled addition should help with that. Fast wifi and easy to connect to. Overall a well planned student centre.

The volunteers who work here have a bad attitude, are racist and mean. My roommate who wants to help me worry that she can't go out with COVID-19 asks for an test box, and by the way, get one for myself. When I took my roommate and I's student cards to ask for them, she asked me why I had two student cards, and interrupted me directly before I finished explaining, saying that I could only take one. But I still said thank you. The girl volunteer pretended not to hear, didn't make any response, and glared at me with very offensive eyes. When I left, she and her companions still stared at me with very offensive eyes. This is not a situation that should happen in universities. Such mean students should not volunteer here.
