Emerald Lake Canoe Rentals & The Boathouse Trading Co.

Such a cute shop! Stopped in with my family just to browse while I was visiting Emerald Lake and had a lovely experience! Lots of cool items and I love that they had many local products for sale too! I was suprised how good the prices were too since this is a popular tourist spot. Would recommend to stop by if you’re visiting the lake.

I was faced with a frustrating and emotionally draining situation, but the owner of the shop reached out to me and did an amazing job resolving the issue. Much appreciation to this small family business.

Had a fantastic experience renting a canoe at Emerald Lake last week! The price is more reasonable than nearby touristy lakes (Moraine, Lake Louise) for hour rentals AND they allow dogs, which is a huge bonus. They don’t have half hour rentals, but honestly, why would you only rent for a half hour? The canoes are sturdy and smooth to paddle around in, which was great since our goldendoodle likes to stand up in the middle and move around to check things out sometimes lol. The staff were super friendly and helpful. Nice little shop attached.But let’s not forget the best part. THE LAKE! The views are spectacular. The water is magical. You won’t regret this experience!Photos unedited

Nice shop with canoe renting facilities, canoes are 90$ per hour

Rented a canoe here, the views from the middle of the lake are incredible. The sun was out and we had a really good time!The canoes are good quality, seem sturdy and unlikely to capsize.$90/hr-canoe is a good deal, if slightly expensive, but fun overall.Some staff however is really rude, and did put a little bit of a damper on the mood.

Emerald Lake is a must stop only if you want to Canoe ! All equipments are clean and well maintained. One hour trip package is there which can ride 3 at a time. Very nice views when you are in the middle of the lake.Parking can be long walk :(

This canoe rental company IS the way to go in the Rockies if you want to do the activity. Much much cheaper than any other places.Friendly staff members and clean facilities. Plus they take credit card.

Highly recommend this place, rented a canoe and spent an hour on the lake, we very much enjoyed ourselves. A bonus was seeing a bald eagle who flew near as we were paddling!We arrived at 8:20 a.m. MST and had no problem finding a parking spot, but it appeared to be full by 9:15. Rentals opens at 10, the first wave of renters were lined up by 9:30.The price and availability were much better than Lake Louise, crowds were smaller, and the views were gorgeous. Staff was friendly and competent, always a great combination.

Incredible place to canoe! We got there around 10:30am and there was no wait for a canoe. Seems to open earlier in the season than other lakes close by (Lake Louise) and at $90 CAD/hr is significantly cheaper. Staff were friendly and helpful. The parking lot is small and had overflowed before midday.

Beautiful, convenience, only few km from Highway 1. Worth for a visit.
