Cleanest place I’ve ever been

The Orchard Queen Motel & RV Park, Midleton, Nova Scotia. We were traveling and it was getting time to consider settling in for the night. We saw Orchard Queen and it looked almost new. We decided to take a look inside one of the rooms and were very pleased that the place was immaculate. Turns out that the owner's wife visits every room after its made up, and she personally does any extra that is necessary to keep it looking like new. They even scrub the outside walls every couple of days. Interestingly, it's not new. It has been there for years.It was the cleanest and friendliest place we stopped at during our 9 days touring Canada. It has a 3 star rating, which would probably have been 4 stars except there is no restaurant (but there is a great restaurant/diner just up the road less than a mile away). Price is very reasonable too (Under $80 Canadian). We were there 2 weeks ago (Aug 2014).We would stay there again without hesitation!Bob NisbetTexas & Huntsville, Alabama

What an awesome experience!We stayed two seasons at this wonderful family run business, they made us feel so welcome.A small town feel with a no nonsense respect for their guests.I actually had the privilege of spending a night in one of their motel rooms And was pleasantly surprised how clean and comfortable the rooms were.I wish more businesses put that kind of personal care and love into their business .Peace and loveThank You Jan and Steve

I have no complaints, even though it’s an older motel, The room we had looked like it had fresh paint, the bathroom had been redone, it was very clean. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. The only thing it took a long time for the hot water to come. But it was hot when it finally came through. I have stayed in big name hotels and I must say I felt just as comfortable here as I have in the other hotels. And a lot less money.

What a fantastic time we had the rooms were exceptionally clean and the staff went above and beyond to ensure we had a great stay. The pool was not crowed and very clean. Janice was amazing, always checking in to see how we were doing and just an all around sweetheart. We enjoyed ourselves so much that we booked again for next year.

RV camping was great quiet at night. A quiet little retreat for my hushand and me. Lovely.Pool was great and refreshing And it didn't hurt, that it was hot! Would come here again.

This quiet little campground feels more like a community than a bunch of strangers camping together. Certainly more of a mature crowd at this place. I wouldn't come here with a bunch of children, but it is a wonderful place for some quiet time away from home. The owners are very friendly and respectful.

Website offers tenting and glamping sites. Booked three nights of tenting.For my wife and I wedding anniversary. Arrived on site only to find none of these services exist. Photos posted on website were from completely different campground. We Were shown to a bare dirt spot in back between some Rvs. Old drum for a discarded washer full of garbage in place for firepit". False advertising. Ended up paying 90$ for a hotel room over and above the 135$ already paid for "tenting" camp site. Owner only gave partial refund due to "late cancelation fee". Ended up going short distance down the road to real campground paying addition 70$ for the rest of our stay in the area. Office staff were very helpful and understanding but had to follow owners instructions regarding refund. Owner lives outside province and difficult to contact.Hotel room was very clean and well kept. Extremely disappointed and will not be returning and will not recommend. False photos of services not actually offered should be removed."

My mom and I stayed in the motel for the weekend, it was perfect! The staff were very friendly, the room was very clean, and the beds were so comfy! It was such a cute spot and in walking distance to restaurants and a coffee shop. Very quiet at night too!
