Good for kids who are old enough to feed themselves and at least ask for a diaper change. Very bad for small babies, as the staff do not ensure they are fed, clean, or sleep.For mealtime, the babies are strapped in chair and food is placed in front of them. If the baby knocks everything on the ground, the staff may give them more, or they may not. After 20 minutes the babies are out of time and cannot eat anymore. Some babies may be left crying in hunger for hours.For diapers, the babies are very rarely changed, so expect diaper rashes and pee on clothing. Throughout the day, diapers are usually full, and staff completely ignore it, as nobody wants to be the one who changes the diaper, so it is only done when it has been too full for too long. The only time when diapers are reliably changed is before parents are expected to arrive.For sleeping, the staff encourage bad habits by holding the babies to sleep in their arms instead of putting them in bed. Just as they do not spend the time to properly feed or clean babies, they also do not spend the time to ensure babies are soundly asleep in the cribs. Babies may be ignored crying in the cribs for 15 minutes or more, and they are all in the same room, so you can be sure that if one is crying the rest will be unable to sleep.There are issues beyond these, but being fed, clean, and rested are the most fundamental elements which should be expected of any child care, and it is shameful that the staff are not meeting these basic needs. I will append, however, that although most staff are careless, there are a few who work hard, and unfortunately the majority of work is borne by these diligent few, while the irresponsible majority shirk the day away.Childcare is unfortunately a necessity, but if at all possible, it is advisable to avoid sending children here until they have reached at least 18-24m of age and can protect themselves from negligent abuse.

We love the atmosphere, the staff, the program, the food offered, and the learning that this YMCA child care offers.

My daughter Lucie started here in September, and I have nothing but praise for the staff and director of this place. My girl was hard of hearing until a recent surgery, and the staff have gone out of their way to ensure her devopmental needs are met in every respect, while showing care and sensitivity towards her auditory adjustments. Taylor Pickel in particular is my favourite staffer in the P-3 room, but they are all competent, dedicated workers in my opinion; and the director is very easily approachable if there are ever any special requirements or challenges.

My daughter just left for school and I just have good things to say. The teachers and all staff are very caring and professional. My daughter loved it and the rooms and playground are amazing. If you want your kids to have meaningful, yet ludic learning, this is the place to go. I'll be forever thankful for our family experience.

Over the years we have used three different daycares and this is by far our favourite. Every single staff member seems to be invested in our children and the effect is noticeable.

They don't answer the phone nor they respond to voicemails. Very annoying and disrespectful
