Excellent new facilities. The app could use a little bit of organizational work to make it more user friendly, but generally is very helpful for booking lanes or other activities.

The children (teens) that hang around all afternoon and into the evening hogging machines and areas with large groups just screwing around and not doing anything correctly is the biggest downfall, that sign of rules is like wall art now as nothing in it is followed or enforced. These kids are such a nuisance to those who actually wish to workout properly and not use it as an after school hang out. It’s hard enough to get manyyyy pieces of equipment let alone when they post up and share it with 11 of them or do their entire workout in one spot on one piece of equipment.

I always look forward to visiting the YMCA when I’m in Halifax. What a fantastic facility- so bright, clean and such state of the art equipment and pool! Can’t wait to visit again.

Nice equipment, although some weird guy was hanging out at the front desk. Bizarre to have someone stare and make faces at you like smirking when you’re just tryna mind your business. On my way to the weight room I got lost, and I asked this guy that went into the same direction if he worked here since he was hanging out at the front desk. This guy laughs and says “I don’t know”. Really weird to have someone loitering at the front desk that doesn’t work there, especially when they stare. The rest of the staff was pretty helpful though.

Majority of the staff is amazing!It’s in a great location (despite nearly impossible parking situation). The facility itself is well maintained, it’s spotless and fresh smelling. I’ve utilized just about every portion of this extremely large rec centre. They’ll even give you a sweet deal on their membership prices if you any afford their set price.

Beautiful facility, the plus change rooms are especially nice. Wish the towels were bigger but that's pretty normal for gym towel service :-) Great pool for lane swim

Worst steam room ever, weight floor too small, facility is nice and large but poor choice of layout during construction since most of it is wasted to have big open space instead of usable space!

Been with YMCA so more then a year. Had really bad experience today. We went as regularly and we scan our card. It didn’t work for some reason. Girl at the desk shout and pull us over like we stole something. First she told our membership is cancel due to our email but we didn’t send any email to cancel. She was trying to find but no proof of our email sent as she said.Felt embarrassed in front of other the way she started conversation please do train the front desk staff some customer service skill.

Nice facilities! Awesome place to spend some time. The only thing it's missing is a water bottle fill-up in the pool area and change rooms. A cold plunge would also make that place unreal but I might be too ambitious with that one lol

What an amazing facility to have right in the heart of the city! Staff is really great, and the layout of the center is really perfect. They put a lot of thought into the design. the cardio machine room is huge and has an amazing view out over the public gardens or up Bell Road or even up the citadel. I'm looking forward to the pool opening on November 1st
