A old lady in the reception on the phone was very very to me and doesn’t want to help. I called in two days ago to follow up a referral appointment at sick kids and being told to call another office. The another office asked me to call sick kids. Sick kids said they never received referral and I have to call the office again. When I call the doctor office again, the lady picked up the phone blamed me about calling sick kids directly. I explained to her that I was told to call sick kids by somebody in the other office. She then told me that ‘this is my third time telling you and I am not going to tell you anymore that all eye surgery request should call the another office’. And then I explained to her it’s not for eye surgery and it’s for eye exam. then she put me on hold for about two minutes and then finally told me that the request has been authorized by sick kids and I have to wait. She then rudely hang up the phone to me immediately.

My mother in law was had her follow up appointment today June 8 and I was on call the whole time during the whole interaction from begin till end and the doctor (Dr. Arshinoff) was very rude and I’m professional when speaking with her, the entire appointment he was very condescending, rude and over all aggressive in tone of voice. Whenever they asked a question he would just respond with attitude or burst it off complaining ignoring the question. There are many other things that transpired. This is not the only time this has occurred it began from the consultation all the way through the follow up appointments after surgery. The receptionist carried on with the same behaviour probably was inherited from the doctor. There was an intern their job shadowing the doctor and the doctor was not setting a good example for the intern. Overall the intern was more professional and had more patience care experience than the doctor. Overall it was been a stressful process.I will be writing to the Ontario Optometrist Asosiation (OOA) and making a formal complaint as no patients deserve this type of treatment. I hope people read the reviews on this outdated clinic before committing to any surgery here. Any clinic with a 3 star review should be avoided as your health and care should be their number one priority.

I've been a patient for over 10 years. Great staff, kind, efficient and well organized. Dr Arshinoff did for me what 3 other specialists could or would not do which has vastly improved my quality of life.

Nice office it’s been renovated recently, but the staff and doctors are INCREDIBLY rude 0 bed side manner, brush you off are condescending and no help at all ! Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but on EVERY occasion it’s disgusting on how they interact with patients. Do NOT give Dr.Arshinoff your business.

Horrible doctor the male doctor is so unprofessional and doesnt know what hes doing do not recommend him you can find way better opthamologists out there then him

Seneca, the celebrated Roman philosopher, statesman and dramatist (4BC-68 AD) once remarked that 'Nothing is more honourable than a grateful heart.'As I muse on the words of wisdom enshrined in this golden thought it sparkles like a precious diamond in my mind and so it is against this lucent backdrop that I am taking the liberty of writing this 'Revised Review' of Dr.Steve Arshinoff who is not only a world leader who can perform sequential bilateral cataract surgery in which both eyes of the patient undergo the operation during the same session but ,in my humble view, 'an Angel of Humanity.'On January 15, 2015 I had surgery regarding the removal of cataract and the implanting of refractive intraocular lenses in respect of both of my eyes at the Humber River Hospital in Toronto.The operation was performed principally by this renowned ophthalmologist and his supporting stellar team.The surgery was incredibly painless, a resounding success and my vision was extremely good, instantaneously ,following its completion. It remains so at the time of writing this gracious 'Revised Review'.Throughout the pre and post -operative periods I was extremely impressed by the pleasant deportment, infectious smile, great sense of humour, care and concern for my eyes and professionalism of this illustrious doctor of ophthalmology.It is ,therefore, without hesitation that I recommend the services of this 'Dear and Glorious Physician' to anyone in dire need of medical treatment for the eyes including cataract surgery and the insertion of intra -ocular lenses.It's a decision that the patient will never forget for when this distinguished doctor with a dazzling array of academic credentials and an incredible wealth of experience in ophthalmology, has finished his job on your eyes you 'll feel as if our 'Lord and Saviour has touched them!I was somewhat blind at one time but now my vision is excellent!May your resplendent career continue to be laced with the golden ribbons of success Dr.Arshinoff and it is my fervent wish that you and your family be garlanded by the sweet roses of happiness and prosperity in this transient journey of life.And May the Good Lord Bess all of you

The receptionists at this are not customer oriented....they all pretend they are busy doing some other things when you come in...never going back there again!

Judging by the dated interior of this facility, they've been around for awhile. I expected a smoother transition when it comes to setting up exams followed by surgery. The front desk is always rushing you in and out almost like they dont want to deal with you. The eye examiner (seems like a student) he brings you in just to brief you and he's basically redundant when it comes to answering questions. The doctor himself has no patience when dealing with you. And they have you go to 3 different facilities before getting the surgery done. I'm under the impression that there is a simpler solution to this ordeal. Not really impressed with their services. I hope this review makes a better improvement to the client service offered.

It's so good to be able to read again after surgery. Dr. Arshinoff did a great job on aging eyes, and was thorough in the preparatory stages. I appreciate the time, care and expertise that went into the entire process.Desk staff was friendly and efficient.
