Le Notre Bistro
One of my new favourite restaurants of all time. Came here for Winterlicious with my partner and we had an amazing meal from start to finish. Our wine was great, our appetizers of beef tartare and escargot were delicious, and our steak frites were perfectly cooked, and some of the best fries I've ever tasted. The aioli they offered on the side was a nice bonus. The desserts were good, too but the apps and mains definitely stole the show. We were waited on the whole night by the owner, too who cleared dishes and poured wine. You could tell how invested he was in the place and all the personal touches in the decor and the wine list. We will 100% be back again.

What an amazing experience. My friends and I made reservations to celebrate our birthdays and were highly impressed. We did a tasting (my first time) and were walked through the process thoroughly. My friends did chef's choice while I had dietary restriction (which they went above and beyond in accommodating for). Even though I did post a picture of the food; it doesn't do it justice as it was top class food for a reasonable price.The highlight of the meal was the veal water buffalo. I doubt I'll be able find anything like that elsewhere. The duck, the escargot, the desert plater and cow shoulder were also top notch.Pros:Excellent food varietyPleasant and accommodating staffQuiet/Welcoming AtmosphereAmazing qualityGreat alcohol selectionCons:Smaller VenueNo pretentious drunks crowding the bar (more of a pro)

Solid four stars goes out to this French bistro.Went in a few nights ago on a date while I was back in Toronto for a few days visiting. I enjoyed my time here at this restaurant from beginning till end.The prefix had a decent section of menu items also the choices that I selected were some of the favourites and personal recommendations of the staff at the restaurant.I was impressed with the courses overall! They even have some options that can meet a lot of dietary restrictions which is great. My personal favourite was the bubbly Chardonnay, I never had this one brand in particular and I am so glad I tried it!Service and everything else was great during my time here my friend and I both enjoyed ourselves quite a bit dinning in and having that real French feel experience.

This place is a hidden gem! The food and service was exceptional. We ordered the tasting menu with wine pairing. It was very surprising to hear that the tasting menu can be customized to our preference and completely tailored. That was the selling point for us, and made our night a very intimate and unique experience. We enjoyed the food very much. The foie gras was the best I've ever had. I would definitely come back here again and try different food from the tasting menu.

My boyfriend and I came for winterlicious for our anniversary and loved it. The restaurant is quiet and intimate. The staff is so attentive and nice. The food was absolutely delicious. We had beef tartar and escargot for apps and both were amazing! Especially the beef tartar! It was my first time trying it and loved it. We had the steak and gnocchi for entrees! The gnocchi was the best however the portion size was pretty small. It was good for me but if you have a large appetite this may leave you feeling unsatisfied. Overall great experience! The only con I would mention is, portions are on the small side. If we came and it wasn’t a prefixe menu I may feel it wouldn’t be worth the money.

The food is delicious, especially when paired with their carefully curated list of wines or Le Notre's unique selection of cocktails. The hosts know their wines and their recommendations are amazing. The place has a very romantic and cozy ambiance. Can't wait to be back!

My friends and I had an amazing experience! I called in a few weeks prior to see if they could accommodate a party of 14 for a birthday - they said it wouldn't be a problem at all. I had to make a last-minute change to 12, and on the day of, a switch to 13 - all the while, they were very patient and accommodating.They set up an amazing 4-course menu. Wine selection was very good. Cocktails were great! Love the cozy interior! A wonderful addition to the neighbourhood. The experience as a whole was amazing, and parts of it (most importantly the delicious food) reminded me of my time in France.I'll definitely be back to sample more of their menu!

Absolutely divine!A warm and friendly experience while savoring delicious food. We fell in love with this restaurant (and it's owner's passion) during a week date. Everything is served to perfection, the ambiance is refined, but friendly (not snob), very comfortable seat and amazing music choices.

Stopped by on a whim and ended up having the tasting menu with wine pairing. We were blown away by the attentiveness of service, and quality of the dishes. Sergeui took the time to explain in great detail the thought process behind each dish, and pair it with the perfect wine. The flavours were familiar but distinctly inventive. Put yourself in their hands with the tasting menu, you will not be disappointed.

The tasting menu, experience, atmosphere and food is very unique and delicious, best spot in Toronto for a business meeting, romantic intimate date or to go with friends after work or on the weekend, la Notre is one of those places where you feel like you are at your own elegant cozy home.Sergei is a great host, their menu constantly changes with very creative dishes depending on what is in season, very well designed and portioned.Awesome selection of wine, liquor and cocktails at the bar.This is a hidden gem and got motivated to try it by different friends and clients that absolutely loved it.
