I had an incredibly upsetting experience with one of the doctors at this clinic. I explained my symptoms (mental health) and was immediately dismissed and made to feel like my own lived experiences weren't valid. I have never felt more unheard and invalidated in my life. I was only offered the questionnaire (very reluctantly) for the beginning stages of diagnosis after I started crying on the phone with the doctor. After I emailed the finished questionnaire back to the clinic, I requested a different doctor to go over results and politely explained that I didn't think we were a good fit. I was told there were no other doctors available and to find another clinic. 0/10 I would NEVER EVER recommend this clinic to anyone.Edit- in response to the response from the owner": Unfortunately learning the information that this doctor who shut me down from my very first sentence gets paid $20/8 minutes is not very comforting. That is a lot of money for someone who is not doing what he is being paid to do. I understand there is a shortage of doctors on the island right now

I have had absolutely fantastic experiences with 3 different walk in doctors at this clinic. I also LOVE the receptionists, they have been nothing but friendly and helpful and have gone above and beyond to figure out how to get appointments booked for my daughter and I.Please remember , you must give respect and kindness to get it in return.

Was lucky to get an over the phone appointment for next day. Explained to DR. Singh that I could barely breathe, painful chest and puking up yellow and green. I am a smoker and have never been prescribed antibiotics. Was treated as if I was asking for antibiotics like candy and told that unless I couldn't finish a full sentence there was nothing that could be done. My sickness has been getting progressively worse the last 5 days. Was told to check back in a week. Thanks for wasting my time and putting me at more risk.

Called for a phone apt to get medication for sever ear infections and had a time to get called at 815pm. No call came. Emailed the same night and the reception and she claimed the Dr called 2 times. Never happened. Not on my phone log, no voicemail and no meds. Was told there was no help for at LEAST a week just for meds.What's wrong with this system?I work 16 hour days walking and driving. Doing this while dizzy is NOT safe and I don't have 10 hours to wait in a stupid er room or clinic.It would take 2 minutes to write a prescription when an actual phone call was made.I'm usually happy with this clinic, but not today with my level of pain. Unaccompanied to not call the patient back when a time slot is made.Edited to ask why you asked me to direct email you when I did and received no response.

I'm new to the city, so the current medical clinic situation (clinics are closing down left and right, so the remaining clinics have even more pressure on them) was a surprise to me. I was really stressed about the lack of access to GP's and walk-in clinics because of a medical issue that popped up just before I moved to BC from another province. I appreciate that I was able to book an online appointment at Burnside instead of calling every morning like the other clinics are doing. I've also had to communicate with the front desk staff via email due to some communication error and they've been quick to reply & really friendly. Thank you so much!

I am very disappointed in this clinic. My partner and I booked an antigen test over 3 weeks ago in preparation for our travels. Two days before our scheduled test we followed up twice to ensure there would be no issues. We did not receive any emails back and they don't seem to have a proper call back system when voicemails are left. The evening before our scheduled test we checked their website and it appears that they are not accredited for antigen tests anymore (strange). We had to scramble to find a clinic to book us a test as most clinics are booked up 2 weeks in advance. This was only 72 hours before our scheduled flight. Not only did we scramble to find a clinic but we were unable to book an antigen test and ended up paying over $200 more for this. Not once did they call us to let us know that our appointment was cancelled and if we hadn't followed up beforehand we could have not been allowed on our flight and out thousands of dollars. I cannot believe this is how a medical clinic operates.

Our family has been attending Burnside Family Medical Clinic for many years and have nothing but positive things to say about Dr. Stuart Bax and his administrative assistant Anne.Dr. Bax embodies all of the qualities of a professional family physician. He is progressive, knowledgeable, kind, calm and genuinely sincere. Our family has consistently been supported, listened to and taken care of and every time we leave our appointments we comment how lucky we are to have Dr. Bax in our corner. He listens, never rushes, is thorough and has such a kind and calm manner about him. Anne is also fantastic. She is organized and on top of things all the time. She is so good at her job and again genuinely wants to help and do what is best for our family. I have seen her interact with others and again she is wonderful and covers things off in such an effective and efficient manner. Thank you so much for everything you do. I know you both are overworked, but you always remain positive and engaged with your patients. 5/5!!

I don’t want to give them any star,I won’t let me post my review.I walked in asked if I can see doctor.I was told you have to make an appointment and I asked if they can book one for me,they said you have to call in morning,I said your phone doesn’t work she replied it does work and here im their phone doesn’t rings shows a sign of user busy.I tried 10 times same thing, super bad service

I was dissatisfied with the receptionist's attitude. When I phoned to schedule an appointment for my mother, the person who answered the phone yelled at me, You should have called earlier!" I started calling at 7.30 a.m. and got through at 8 a.m. I realize that we are short on physicians
