From the moment we checked in until the moment we left, we were treated so well at the Epik by all staff members. They were helpful and courteous. The rooms were delightful with large modern bathrooms and comfy beds. For being in a city and being on the street, it was surprisingly quiet. Delicious continental breakfast to get us going in the morning. Would definitely stay again next time we come to Montreal. Thanks!

This is my new favorite hotel!. I have never experienced better service anywhere in the world. Parking is an issue, but Lucy the person on duty when we checked in, helped us carry our bags from our car up to our room. That was a first for me. The rooms are clean, cozy, excellent location if you want to experience old Montreal. Its walking distance to dozens of really great restaurants, and the prices will not make you go on a diet. It's in a very safe location. As we ate breakfast we could see parents walking their kids to the bus. That's a good signal. If I ever make it back to Montreal, that's where I am going to stay.

Beautiful small personalized hotel with excellent service, delicious continental style breakfast and wonderful service from all staff. The only negative is that at the corner of the street is a restaurant that switches to a night club at 9p. The Street was mobbed with about 50 people with 2 cars blasting chest-thumping music bot Thursday ans Friday nights for about 2 hours. It certainly isn't the hotel's fault, but not sure if they had other rooms that were not street side, so if you are a light sleeper, bring your ear plugs!

Amazing location with easy walking around old town, the port, Notre-dame, restaurants, galleries, and city activities. Everyone was exceptionally friendly and quick to help. Parking is fairly simple and worth the price if, like us, you don't know the area and find the congested one-way streets intimidating. Our room was cute if weird. We got the bottom room which is located in the lobby right next to the maitre d stand, like on top of it. Bathroom shares a wall with restaurant diners. We found it quite amusing (every time we came out of our room during dinner service, squeezing through the diners, the host would make a joke how we weren't part of the restaurant.) I imagine the upstairs rooms are more private but we didn't mind although the dinners last until 11:30 with staff banging pots and cleaning up which is loud, esp as outside porch" is actually restaurant's patio where servers attack their tubs. If we start in Old Town again we wouldn't hesitate to stay again

Great location. Well decorated room. Daily breakfast basket. Uncomfortable foam bed, but others may prefer that type.

I really can’t recommend this hotel enough. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. I stayed in the room in the lobby and I got a message beforehand that it might be a bit loud since it’s located in the lobby and next to the restaurant but I had no trouble with noise at all. There is a double door that almost totally blocks out the noise and the bed is so comfortable that if you do hear anything you’ll be asleep anyway! The real highlight besides the amazing service and comfortable bed and beautiful room is the breakfast that is provided and included in the price that they will either bring to your room or serve you at the restaurant. I had it brought to my room to eat while I got ready and it was super convenient and very delicious. I was served some nice hot crepes with maple syrup, a pear, a mini muffin, yogurt, cheese, orange juice, and coffee made the way you asked for. It’s the perfect meal to start your day in Old Montreal! I will definitely be staying again. Thanks for a great experience! I’ll be back.

Just returned from a long-weekend stay at Hotel Epik in the absolute heart of Old Montreal. Had an amazing experience overall. Treated ourselves to Room 300, the Penthouse Suite. This is - easily - one of the nicest hotel rooms I have ever experienced. A delightful architectural blend of old (exposed brick, wooden beams and trusses) and new (modern, contemporary appliances throughout the unit, including full glass rain showers with mood lighting, and a Nespresso machine, which was a nice morning perk). The views were amazing (particularly the top bedroom, which is a glassed-in alcove); the complimentary breakfast (delivered to the room each morning) was an added bonus, and the hotel staff were fantastic. The unit has 2 exclusive patios: one large patio off the main living area, and one smaller patio off the top bedroom. Walking distance to restaurants, bars, and many local points of interest. Nearest Metro stop is Place des Armes, which was perhaps a 10-minute walk. Weekend noise was a minor issue - if you are a very light sleeper - bring soft earplugs for sleeping, and you'll be fine.Highly-recommend, and would definitely return.

The Hotel Epik is on my highly recommended list. First even though it’s on a busy street we could barely hear any noise, and found it easy with a loading spot out front to check in and out. (Tip: move your car out of the garage and out front the morning you check out. Sundays there aren’t meters until later.)The location was a couple of minutes walk from the pedestrian area of Rue St Paul, the waterfront and the Norte Dame basilica (which is best seen when they first open.) The metro is about an 8 minute walk up and down a small hill. On a busy weekend night, it’s tough getting a taxi or car, so if you need these things, you may want to pick another neighbor. We loved the location and didn’t mind walking up the stairs to our room. Our shower had a light show!Every morning, the staff gave included breakfast. It typically included a yogurt, fruit, a muffin, and a main course breakfast. Coffee or tea. The front staff answered our every question and having a restaurant with bar on the ground floor, allowed us to have a spot to order a snack or a drink. Everyone was very professional and we’d love to stay there again the next time we’re in town.

This hotel is in the heart of it all. Walking distance to Notre Dame, restaurants, galleries and boutiques. We rented the 1st floor apartment and it was worth the money. The front desk workers were friendly and helpful. Emma stood out to us the most. Such a cheery person. We hope to stay here again.
