This school is a whole headache !! Accountability is only for the students. Teachers are never held accountable for their actions or reprimanded like a student is. If your child gets on their “nerves” they will suspend them every chance they get. A Teacher told my daughter “ she would strangle her” in front of the whole class, never was reprimanded, they hire whomever they can, they hire people who have no patience and act like kids themselves but have no problem suspending a child. Children end up disrespectful because the teachers act like children and aren’t taken seriously. The staff will turn on you with the quickness.

From the 1 stars and the complaints of being predominantly white teachers is a red flag because these parents are right they don't talk about black history which I wouldn't want them teaching my children anyway because they lie and white wash history to fit the false narrative of their own lies and beliefs.And we as parents need to take things back to the old days getting rid of white teachers in predominantly black schools and replacing them with black teachers.im not sure. Why they so eager to work for a all black school anyways it just seems they're deliberately trying to dismantle black education and dumbing our children down.they need to go to their own communities and teach their. I'm appauled.At what I've read.

Please be careful before you enroll your Sons in this school its definitely a woman staff mainly and they have no respect for our young black sons my son was attacked and they tried to sweep it under the rug they allow the boys to be treated unfair and there always suspended them for the slightest thing they dont allow you to volunteer even when you do all steps and protocol there very unorganized they dont have proper suspension letters they just rigt up a behavior form and never address issues promptly or correctly i have been up to the school almost every day stating my concerns on loo y to go on deaf ears until my child defended himself and then was suspended for not allowing another student to continue to hurt him .I am removing my children from this school but its in the middle of the year so we have to tuff it out i made a police report but i hope my child doesn't have to go through this again.

I go to this school and there's only a few good teachers that are going to get your students to were he or she need to go.Im in 6th grade the lunch is terrible and there's no cafeteria so we have to eat in our classrooms and there's no gym

EXCELLENT SCHOOL!!! Educators and staff strive to create healthy, nurturing, trusting relationships with each student. Character values are an encultured, shared experience. The overall ambiance of the environment is nurturing, friendly, and there is an air of excitement in the building. My autistic son received every opportunity and service available, and his education team invested heavily into him, academically and personally. My sixth grade daughter was also nurtured, and was really motivated to achieve. Both children EARNED A's and B's consistently, met their testing goals, were rewarded for achieving beyond expectations, and were supported by the entire staff to exceed many of their set goals. Our family has moved from Detroit, and we are heartbroken to leave this really amazing school. I WOULD RECOMMEND THIS SCHOOL TO ANY FAMILY WHO WANTS THEIR CHILD TO BECOME A SUCCESSFUL BUSINESS PROFESSIONAL!!! thank you, DMA!!!!!! Love, the Clark family.

My teacher ms.allen is sometimes mean she can be rude ms Schafer is mean always blames stuff on kids the principals are nice and sometimes the teachers can be nice. But it's a great school

I did not know until weeks in that there is no cafeteria, auditorium, gym and never was given a tour. The positive thing is the schools is 5 minutes from my home, latch key and the staff in the front office is nice. The teachers there are working hard to do their best with the children and I appreciate that. There are always room for improvement.

This school is very unprofessional they don't like when black kids learn about there history Especially black boys or black men the only good teacher is Mr. Sanders and there food be rotten and spoiled do not eat there fruit
