L'Etoile Du Nord

The place is fantastic. 5 stars for me :) We had planned to go to Forillon Parc but it was so good there that we gave up. We enjoyed the view while we had a snack prepared with a lobster bought in a nearby market. The children loved playing on the rocks. The service was excellent. Very kind and pleasant. Breakfast is very good.The room (number 5) was spacious, clean, with good bedding and a beautiful view from the window. We simply loved this place!It wasn’t uncomfortable for us, but there is no air conditioning.

This hotel was superb. I wish to come back here again, and many times thereafter.We arrived in the early evening, and were charmed by the appearance of this place right away. The restaurant in the old restored house is very cute and quaint. I knew even before meeting the owner that she is an artist.The menu looked delectable, though we did not dine here. Among the items listed were veal meatballs with cheese, lobster, escargot, and many other fruits de mere.Our room was the perfect size, with a small table and chairs, two beds, and a marvelous view of the water. It was a little chilly when the sun went down, but very romantic. My travel companion said that it reminded him of his grandparent's old vacation cabin.The internet access was extra, but quite reasonable. We paid around 5 dollars for three hours. We would have foregone the internet access entirely, but we needed it to book our next stay some distance ahead.There is access to the water at the botom of the hill behind the hotel. I walked down to the rocks at sunrise, and it was magical. On the beach were some rusted metal artifacts from old ships, alongside the driftwood and kelp.Our hostess was very kind and considerate, and our short overnight stay was comfortable. I only wish it had been longer!

Beautiful views, friendly staff, delicious food! What more can you ask for? If you are traveling down the 132 and find yourself close to L'Etoile Du Nord take a moment and refresh yourself in this cozy place. Highly recommend!

What a beautiful hidden gem of the upper Gaspésie. No way a two star hotel. Clean, friendly and the seaside view is out of this world. The restaurant serves a variety delicious dishes, excellent choice of drinks - it’s top notch. Next time I’m booking a longer stay. Highly recommend!

We used this hotel as a rest stop from old quebec to Perce.We had room #3. Big window overlooking the ocean. Cute clean room. Older decor but very charming. Picnic tables overlooking the ocean. You can go down to the rocky beach easily. We spent the evening watching the sunset and a full moon. We also saw some seals. Only disappointment is that due to covid the restaurant had limited menu.

To fully enjoy this motel you should also eat at the restaurant. Dinner and breakfast. It was a great dinner for a reasonable price. The motel room, #4, was clean and quaint, probably built in the 1950s or 60s as the electrical outlets are two prong only. Units 1-4 have an ocean view but sadly that view was not apparently appreciated when built as it is only a window not a walk out. However, you are only steps to a pathway to the rocky beach. Outdoor armchairs facilitate enjoying the sunset with a glass of wine and maybe seeing a whale or two. I did. You could stay a couple days here if you wanted to detach and read. Yes the internet is not free. We just used our phone data plan. NOTE: This motel is up for sale with the owners planning to move on to a different venture. I verified the for sale sign on the property.
