I recently attended this hair school academy and had an amazing experience. Miss Robbie, the principal, is an exceptional teacher who goes above and beyond to help her students succeed. Miss Bobbi Jo is a wonderful teacher who is passionate about the art of hair styling and is always willing to lend a helping hand. And Miss Simone is a fun and energetic teacher who creates a positive and engaging learning environment. Overall, I highly recommend this hair school academy for anyone who is interested in pursuing a career in hair styling.

Absolutely avoid at all costs!I don’t even know where to begin with this absolute dumpster fire they call a “school”. I could’ve learned everything the “teachers” taught me here in the span of 10 months for free on YouTube within a week.The teachers would rather sit at their desks and play candy crush than actually lift a single finger to teach you anything. The extremely limited skills I was taught at the Beauty Academy are immensely outdated techniques that are no longer relevant nor used in the industry. The teachers manage to do less than the bare minimum required of them and somehow the school continues to stays open.Not only do the teachers fail to actually do any teaching but, they’re absolutely horrible to the students. They regularly talked poorly about students while others were around to hear. I once had a teacher tell myself and my classmates we would be, and I quote, “the worst class they had ever graduated”. Another teacher once looked at my mannequin and told me if I did that work on a client she’d refuse to pay and leave the salon crying. These comments were not a rare occurrence at the Beauty Academy, and were despite the fact that I received good marks during my time there and graduated with an average in the mid 80s, and was immediately hired at a salon following my graduation date (where my coworkers were shocked at the lack of material the school taught). These demeaning, demoralizing comments were only where it began. The teachers were horribly unprofessional and rude to the clients that walked in as well.The “director” is extremely unqualified for her position and is visibly annoyed when you ask her to do anything that slightly resembles her having to do her job. My classmates and myself’s hours spent there were regularly logged incorrectly due to her incompetence and she became extremely hostile when corrected. She would regularly change the “rules” as she pleased while only enforcing them on those she disliked more than others.The entire school in a massive money grab that wants you in and out as fast as humanly possible so they can get as many people through the doors and as much money into their pockets as they can manage. They do not care about the students, or their education. They only want your money.Unfortunately this experience was not unique to me, as all of my classmates shared it with me. Do not be fooled by their pleasantries when you go to sign up for the course like I was. Save your money and run the other way.

This was a wonderful experience and I absolutely love my new hairdo. My hair was quite long and I asked for layers and to clean up my bangs. Tamara was great. She was confident and not afraid to ask the instructor, Julie, a question if she needed too. She was a quick study, gentle, and I felt very comfortable. It does take a little longer as it is a teaching school however it was done with professionalism and care. I highly recommend showing them your support. ☺

This is a great place to learn. It’s a fun atmosphere and the teachers provide good learning but still have fun with the students. I love to learn because of the teachers, clients , and the atmosphere of the school. The teachers instruct from their heart and when English is your second language they go over and above to help you learn. I have had the opportunity to meet many great people and make friends. some of these friends become like family to me. Robbie wants to see everyone succeed and will do anything to help you even if it’s her own time.Miss V- one of the sweetest ladies you feel like she’s your mom and teacher all in one. She is happy to share her knowledge.Miss Bobbi Jo- Amazing, you get a lot of experience with her. She has so much knowledge to share, teaches you the professional way to do things, changes you from feeling like a student to feeling like a professional.Simone- Always makes you laugh and fuels your energy levels to keep you on your toes. Great barber instructor and always gives her best.All the teachers keep a smile on their face and want to see you succeed

Thieves, they will rob you.There is zero experience since it is an academy and the prices are so expensive than what is outside. They will tell you a price and once they start working on ur hair they will ask for more $ or you don’t get what you agreed on.Robi is the supervisor, she should go back to the academy and do some refreshments. Please don’t go there.

Prevent you from probable disappointmentI hope this review may help others manage their expectations if they decide to try their cheaper haircut services. First, I should note the advertised walk-ins might not work and could end in scheduling your appointment for another day. Instead of availability of staff, the scheduled haircut may actually reflect finding whose learning or practice requirements fit the service you are seeking for. This may lead to poor quality of service when you come back and potentially get a more inexperienced hairstylist needing to learn how to provide the type of haircut or service you are seeking. For me, it was a simple (long on top and short on sides with fading) male hair cut which ended in everyone commenting how terrible and unprofessional it looked. I found most disappointing when the teacher checked my haircut, noticed the messy side fading and carelessly walked away rather than correcting it.I didn’t complain out of respect for the learning student but I did have to get another haircut the same day because it was so poorly done even my mother offered to pay for a professional one when she saw it.

I am a student here and will be graduating soon. I want to talk about something. I really want to thank Miss Robbi, She is a wonderful manager and she works hard all day long. She solves all problems for students and helps them with everything. She really deserves to be rewarded for her hard work in a higher position and deserve respect and appreciation .

As a student in this school who’s about to graduate I couldn’t be happier with the decision of coming to this program. It is a great program and has taught me everything I need to know, the teachers are wonderful from Ms.V, Ms.Julie, Ms.Klara to the manager of the school Robbie Queen of the colours. They go out of their way to help every single student reach their highest potential. They help with any questions we have and go out of their way to find answers we are looking for.

I have been at this school for a little while now and so far it has been a great experience. I have always been good at doing hair but now I am learning the proper techniques. The teachers and students are wonderful!I think some people need to be reminded that this is a school and people are learning. So if you are looking for perfection, you might get it here, you might not but you are contributing to someone’s education.There is always room for improvement.
