McEwen-Frontenac Animal Hospital

I have been going here for about 15 or more years, and I didn't know this vet was sold. I took my puppy in as he was not feeling good. After a few hours I had to pick him up and transfer to the emergency after hours. At 8am next day I had to transfer back to McEwen. The x-rays that were giving to the emergency vet were blurry and had to be redone. There was a huge language barrier with the doctor and on 3 different occasions he spoke to someone else in his language which I find extremely rude and unprofessional. I even had to pass the phone to a co worker to see if she could make out what he was saying. I received a call later that my boy was doing good and I could pick him up. I took my puppy home and less then 12 hours later he was worse then when he went In. My puppy(Rolo) past away and my family and I are devastated. He never should of been sent home if he was still sick. We ended up paying for both x-rays even tho they were blurry. I do not recommend this vet, you never should of sent him home if he was not 100 % better, he was only a year old. My heart is broken, we miss Rolo so much, also communication with a client is important I recommend a translator at the vet to help people understand better.

I’m a first time dog mom and a little self conscious about how little I know and how little experience I have. On my recent visit the vet and technicians were super calm and supportive which made me feel a little less self conscious. I trust that my pet is getting the best care.

Recently moved to Kingston and McEwen-Frontenac has been absolutely wonderful at getting my Lady Dory up to date for her immunizations and required general care. Vet and staff are very gentle and treated her like the princess she is.

Magic was in very good humour throughout examination and getting vaccinations. There was no duress or threat present and it was a very pleasant visit. Magic enjoyed the liver treats - I did not get any treats !!

I had such a good experience at this clinic when my cat was sick this week. The entire staff was really helpful, responsive and compassionate with their recommendations and treatment, and she has made a quick recovery thanks to them. I'd highly recommend this clinic.

No words to describe how thankful I am for everyone that helped me through the most difficult decision I’ve ever had to make. I was feeling uneasy coming in but was greeted with reassurance and care. It made saying goodbye to my furry pal a little bit easier. Thank you!

Love love love the atmosphere in here. I feel my animal is safe in here and they always greet her with so much kindness. A little expensive but honestly worth it to know my fur child is healthy.

We love Dr. Ken Rutledge and the level of care and professionalism he delivers not only as our vet but a person. He takes the time on every visit to speak with us to ensure the great customer relationship we have. The rest of his staff are also a delight to deal with, they are courteous and friendly and add to the terrific experience. The only change I would like is being inside next to our Dogs. We know the pandamic has caused alot of issues with businesses and the public. Keep up the great work Ken and team. SEE YOU SOON. Ray & Tara Miller
