Dr H Yassein

Dr. Yassein is one of the best people I have ever met. He was gentle and kind with me, I say that because I can only speak for myself. I sensed when I was in the operating the movement as he operated on my eyes that he was gently cleaning and installing a lens as he spoke to me in a calming voice. I left that I cloud have gone through without a physical sedative, as a matter of fact with my second eye I forgot and had something to eat so I only had a local and I did not have a any pain then of after. You have to listen to what your told and everything will be great.

Dr Ro has no respect for his patients or their time. Expect a wait. We had 4 appointments and 2 surgeries anywhere from 1 to 6 hour wait.

My experience with doctor Ro was very negative. He asked me what my symptoms where and before I could fully explain he declared I had simply had a migraine. When I insisted he was wrong and there was more too it. He reluctantly did further tests and found a Fovea discrepancy that was caused by stress. When I asked for a copy of his report he declined. When I asked for him to at least write it down he declined until I insisted he write something and give it to me. I'll be calling his office later this week and requesting the report on my eye because he wouldn't freely give it to me.

Dr. Yassein was always very helpful and very nice. My eyes healed up nicely with the drops he prescribed and worked with my GP to make sure I don't have underlying illnesses causing the problem.He even gave me a free eye exam today since I am not covered by OHIP or anything which I am excited about. I can't wait to watch a movie on a TV again.

Dr. Yassein Hossam is a great doctor. He was absolutely kind to my son who was about a year old at the time. I was having double vision and was sent to Dr. Yassein. He monitored me for 6 months and had tests done but found nothing wrong. He was very puzzled and I've been meaning to follow up with him as he requested I do every few months or if I have reoccurring double vision. He is a fantastic doctor, I would recommend to anyone. To his surprise he is used to working with the older population so seeing me and my son was a nice change for him as he could not stop smiling from ear to ear over my son. He cares a lot which is rare these days it seems.

I would give this doctors office a ZERO rating without even walking in the door.I called ahead and asked about accommodating my 78 year old mother regarding disability, MCS.The secretary REFUSED to even discuss it with the doctor himself, and try to accommodate her.MCS is an invisible disability under the Human Rights Act of Ontario. The secretary said we have never been asked this question and refused to ask the doctor for the accommodation. Flat out refused!There are over 1 million people in Ontario living with MCS. Durham Region has a very big population of people living with MCS. Spread the word!

I visited Dr Yassein yesterday 25th Aug for the first time. What a wonderful experience with a wonderful, caring and genuine person. He explained the symptoms i was experiencing with my vision and was very honest about the fact that the condition of my vision was not within his scope of expertise and promised to get me an appointment with a retinologist asap. A thorough and caring medical professional very rarely found in todays day and age.

Dr. Yassein performed a complicated cataract surgery, cataract being in advanced stage would not come out in one piece, had to be laser cut into four pieces to be removed. I have to say, that I had no discomfort of any kind during and after the surgery. Staff at Oshawa clinic and Bowmanville hospital were very professional, with special thanks to great medical team in Bowmanville. The morning after the surgery I clocked 20/25 vision and a month later 20/20.Since in my family cataract is a genetic issue looks like, I will visit Dr. Yassein in a few month again to fix my other eye. No way I will go anywhere else.

Had cataract surgery by Dr.Ro yesterday to fix a posterior cataract that had formed from an eye injury when I was 12. Thankfully he recognized it was a fast growing cataract that had left me almost blind in my left eye and got me into surgery quickly. I opted to pay for the multifocal lens and less than 24 hrs after surgery I have 20/25 vision in that eye. My entire experience has been incredibly positive including Dr. Ro, the office staff and Lakerdige Bowmanville Hospital !!!

My husband went in for a caterata surgery and ended up having to be transfer an another eye dr on Simcoe S Linda Bazivk office. she had to do surgery two days later to fix and repair the damage that Dr Ro done. Feb in went in for cataract surgery and still here we are at May 7 and he still hasn’t had the implant put in yet as when Dr Bazuik did the surgery she said there was to much trauma done to the eye. Now she has clear him for the implant surgery and we are now transfer back to Dr Ro office for that lol
